Thank you to everyone who is supportive and understanding to the situation. Our team, myself, and my family have poured our heart into the event and our downhill community. We are putting in 100% effort to salvage the rest of the festival and get our amateur downhill and Enduro racers the opportunity to compete.

Really Bummed for Rachel Pageau, she dropped her chain early into her run and still managed 4th. She seems like someone to watch this season. Seems to be really getting after it!

Looks like Dak is getting along nicely with the new Intense design proto he just got this week. Great sign. Gwin splits were good until the flat.

@hamncheez: man, those pits… and the park is still telling people not to even come because the road isn’t safe. Guessing downed trees on top of the snow since they mentioned high winds. Not sure how you run a race like that.

I swear the seasons have shifted a bit to being a month or so later than normal. Super hot summer like falls, and now a snowstorm covering the east in March. Similar trends noticed in surfing. Fall swells are kinda nonexistent and the winter swells are coming much later. Weird.

In Colorado the "Spring" still seems pretty normal with snowstorms through May, but Fall/Winter has definitely been bumped back 2-3 months. I was ripping in Jorts and a T-shirt on bone dry trails here on December 18th.

Makes more sense for KHS to just keep delivering bikes to customers right now. Until consumption slows down they need to just focus on getting as many bikes delivered as possible.

He's no longer Going for 6 from the mysterious SoCal Q stronghold known as the Inland Empire. Murieta, CA (Riverside County), to be precise. Seems he moved to the more remote state of Tennesee. The Southeast still supports DH racing, it seems.

@DHhack: No politics needed. The Knoxville-Asheville area has a solid case for the best place in the country to train WC DH. Politics may play a role but the end result just makes professional sense.

Would you say the same about Minnaar? He had his dry spell and came back in grand fashion. Gwin helped elevate the focus and training of the top guys and is paying the price for that now.

@krisrayner: iunno I feel like minaar is more pro. He's not doing ebike videos and how tos and Mediocre weight training. Gwin is on bikes that are too big for him. And comes from dirt bikes and is now Mr ebike. Minaar has been on the scene for years. Seems like is on a better program and understands bikes better. Just my take.

@sudochuckwalla: hes not that tall of a guy, the new long reach DH 29r bikes just look too big for his small statue. Guys like Minaar fit great. Remember that crash a few years back on his first 29r he bricked and went over the bars? he looked like a dwarf riding a grown man bike. His BMX skills and world cups when everyone was on 27.5 worked better for him, the new age of mega fast tracks and big long big wheel bikes don't suit the smaller guys so well

@krisrayner: Hes also always been about the sponsorhip money. Riding subpar stuff to get paid the most. The guys on top of podium are always on a no holdback top spec stuff to help them win. Thats why I think Gwinn is gonna end up racing ebikes. His latest videos show how much he likes riding ebikes, so he can muscle them around like a dirt bike he said. That is not what gets you on the podium at world cups. Even still a top 20 at a world cup is an impressive feat, but with the likes of amaury Pierron and Bruni up top, it will be hard to take away any trophies. Those guys throw it all on the line for the win.

@jeremy3220: All the racers were told the seeding run could possibly be counted as the final result as they knew the weather would be moving in and the finals could be canceled. They were told to run seeding as they would a race run…
