Men’s race – 120 km – 3 laps

Women’s race – 87,5 km – 2 laps and a loop

Sorry, but I thought it was a marathon race. 3-4 hours doesn't seem like a marathon race. Like 24 Hour races, or in that category. Not saying anything bad, they all can kick my but, but, just saying, why call it a marathon race?

Because that's what marathons are - "The Cross-country marathon events are a long version of cross-country held over a course of 60 to 160 km."

You know that actual marathons (running 26.2 miles) are only 2-2.5 hours for elites, right? Calling this "marathon mtb" seems about right.
