We use Slack as our workplace communication tool at Pinkbike and we have a #randoms channel that we use to share an assortment of videos and stories from all corners of the cycling world and beyond... We thought a couple of the moments from the past week were too good not to share with a wider audience, so here are some of the highlights.

SNAIX NeuroBike

bigquotesThis cool bike has it all! Extremely fun - clear head - better balance, reaction and performance in sports - pain-free back - weight loss. What more do you want!SNAIX

Swampfest 2024

bigquotesBest of Swampfest 2024!! Trey Jones and the Swampfest crew have done it again…Behind all the chaos, carnage, and fireworks is a team of people working their asses off to make Swampfest a reality. Thanks for another awesome event, see you next year. Our BMX

bigquotesThe Chaotic end to a gnarly couple days of absolute madness at Swampfest 2024. As the event closes out and everything burns to the ground we can’t help but be thankful to Trey Jones and the Swampfest crew for putting on this festival-style event year after year for everyone to enjoy. Until next year! Our BMX

bigquotesSwampfest is Trey Jones' brainchild & it gets skaters, bmx riders, and just about everyone else together in the swamps of Florida to watch some high level ripping at a low sea level. So, naturally, the boys headed down for a weekend packed with Skate, BMX and Moto mayhem. Watch the carnage unfold, from a safe distance of course.

Swampfest is wild! A true mecha for arsonists and pyrotechnicians.

Impressive what they can build out of wood though that not so smooth transition from the red Odyssey sign to the ramp spoiled many a good and flowy move.

@vinay: i think that was intended as a wall ride from which you have to drop back into the ramp to make it more tech.

The UCI is probably salivating over the potential for a SNAIX Figure 8 World Championships!

They might skip right to SNAIX Ice World Championships for the chance to make it a Winter Olympics sport.

SNAIX huck-to-flat? I’m just waiting for Sam Pilgrim to take one down a stair set of doom.

Damn...you beat me to it! The moment I saw it I thought of Sam...this wonder of engineering screams 'Staircase of Doom'!

don't wait. They stopped production a few years ago

First thing that came to mind watching the SNAIX perform was that someone finally fixed the design of the early 70's Schwinn Swing Bike (good job on the new design!), those things were a true nightmare to ride. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHtgHYX2foo

You can tell its an old bike though. I mean, the cables don't go through the pivot to make it much more difficult to service... Amateurs.

Bikes these days are so behind the times…
The exciting SNAIX NeuroBike has cable/hose routing through the stem AND headset plus the Magura Hydro Stop brakes.
Hope the jazzy soundtrack inspires the masses who buy this to do some most excellent tricks and super tight turns.
I need this….

Swampfest never disappoints. They might have to tweak the roller coaster next time I reckon.

The best of Swampfest is fucking unreal. Super grateful to the Jones family for putting this on every year and giving all lifers from all different scene's an outlet to come and celebrate. Loads of work aint elected.

How much trail should our new bike have?

Idk... -500mm?

Sounds like a death trap. I like it.

Considering how well they can ride, it is worth having a go on one of these. Not sure how well these will handle at speed or how forgiving they'd be when going fast and making a minor error. Your fullface helmet will be your (disposable) friend. I think they'd work great in countries where cyclists are designated to the pavement where the advantages and efficiency of a regular bike is wasted.

That thing schralps just standing still!

@vinay: I don't think anyone is riding it with no hands. After a second look ... I think it's a medical device for training mobility of the lumbar, not a serious bike.

Snow biking is fine if its a sport, it should just require costumes and have beer feeds mid-course.

I legit want to try the Snaix bike.

I have one and it's for sale: CHF 1300

Me too just for kicks. Basically let's see how short your reach can really be! @vhdh666 why are you selling?
  • 2 0
@gtill9000: it's a training tool. It trains the small muscles in your back. I sell it, because my back problems are gone. But I don't think you seriously want to buy it, do you?

What would aliens think if they landed at swamp fest?
  • 27 1
The same thing any intelligent life would when they arrive in Florida
  • 7 0
@TommyNunchuck: You know the old joke to make fun of someone's intelligence, "well if you believe that I've got some waterfront swamp land to sell ya!"......? Remember that Florida is full of people who accepted that offer.
