Emmy Lan jumping into Elite DHI, that's pretty cool. She's had a great first U21 EDR season with Forbidden

very cool! perhaps a good career trajectory, given the dwindling exposure edr appears to be receiving. looks like she's got the speed to mix it up.

she raced world's this year and was doing as many Canada Cups as she could this summer with strong results taking 1 win and a couple seconds.

Well done to all the winners of this race. Troy Brosnan must be really happy with that result.

 No time for Valli?

Timed Training is not required so there are always a few people missing.

She's gonna lose a ton of TT points

Junior qualifying a wee bit quicker than elite TT.
More juniors going to come up flying next year.
The sport is so healthy and competitive just now.
Looks like the days of juniors taking a few seasons to get their times down in elite are gone, now they just come into elite flying.
Makes the juniors so exciting to watch (and free).

Love seeing a strong field. I think J&J coming into elite flying is more of an exception than a new status quo, though—getting your sea legs in the big leagues is much longer and more pervasive than just DH. In my opinion it's a good marker for truly prodigious athletes, because the mental game is equally important to being a champion, but it's forgotten by most.

@Kabrex: the mental game is so important.
Seeing juniors from 10 years ago compared to now, the fast juniors are a different breed these days. In the UK anyway. Mini professionals and so confident.

Aussies showing some early speed. Nice one. No Vali Holl though. Wonder why.

 No Hoffman?

NEWSFLASH the Jr. event is cancelled and these will stand as the results thus proving the immortal importance of TT. Congrats to all the wieners

flag racecase (Sep 7, 2023 at 7:23) (Below Threshold)
It happened one time, and if it saved some jr. from getting hurt, I'm ok with that. Move on.
