PB, you uploaded the wrong video. This is just them riding the service road, not the actual race track...

That course is simply an embarrassment to bike racing. The average 8yr old from any ski/bike town in BC would ride that course on their way to school and think nothing of it.

Part road, cyclocross and gravel biking. Hardly mountain biking.
How long till the next DH race?

Most of the pink bikers bitching about the course would probably crash themselves out on the "nontechnical" downhill after a few laps at race pace.

 Roadies would destroy this field!

Naaahhh, if you look at the youtube from @number44, the roadie didn't really feel comfortable braking on the gravel. Van Der Poel and clan should bring their cyclocross bikes and show hos smooth this track is....

@MMOF: seriously, there is no reason to not be on a hardtail for this course. I had been getting excited for watching the XC races and this course really puts a damper on that. I can see a hardtail with a dropper winning this race.

@lifeofloon: Agreed. I also enjoy watching XC so a good hard tail with semi-road tires and a dropper should definitely win.

@lifeofloon: try telling the sponsors that....the pros ride soft-tails because those are the bikes Scott and Trek want to sell.

Did they mean world cup CX???

Next year.... "We require all riders to switch to E-bikes because the climbing is to hard"

Probably physical and reflects a v sad truth about german mtb. Gravel road riding it is. It is still illegal in this prt of Germany to ride trails below 2m of width. This is proper German????????‍✈️rules.
  • 1 0
This is Germany, mountain biking still not accepted, moreover seen as an attack on nature, and the track is probably what is allowed within the law. A country that does not want to move forward....most likely no mobile coverage in the forrest either!

You know it's a gnarly track when you can go 2 wide and have a nice chat.

 Pretty disappointing course.

Full face helmet and enduro bike for this course.

Totally. Don’t forget the elbow pads.

I think this is what Levy meant by "Downcountry"!

This would be conisdered an enduro track in california, with people riding 6-inches bike.

 Langvad should crush it here.

Feels like something from I only ride park.

@5:55. How could that forklift possibly drive up that technical singletrack climb?

We are covering Cyclocross on Pinkbike now?

Need to get Ric an e-bike so he can get round this track at a reasonable speed & still be able to talk?
  • 1 0
How many of these keyboard warriors actually rode the course?
  • 1 0
Not technical but will be fast
