The build continues for us at the Darkfest 2020 site! We started piling the last jumps, and after a storm in Stellenbosch we are back on track to build the biggest jumps of all time!— Sam Reynolds
So having less experience with any jump over 4 feet, why do these takeoffs (and especially landings) need to be so much larger/wider than a comparably sized moto jump? Or does the drone camera work just make them look larger?
I believe is for safety, since you gonna have trains of riders trying to trow all the crazy shit they do. So in order to not miss the landing at all, just build them gigantic. And yes, image from drones are normally distorted is some way.
Yeah check last year’s event or some of Sam’s earlier videos from this year, there are clips of people overshooting the landing of the old “last jump”. Now it looks like this year they have built up that landing, so less consequence for going too deep, and then added a new jump right after it. Biggest rhythm jump pairing of all time?
@jrocksdh: i wouldnt classify semenuk as a freerider, let alone in the 'circle'. dude has skills, but i havent seen any of his edits or riding in a true raw freeride type of terrain. its always polished lines, with some mind boggling tricks. id like to see him ride some stuff without a shovel or dig crew.
Absolutely amazing. The segment with the one dude raking that HUGE lander is amazing......really helps you to appreciate the massive size of these things!
semenuk isnt part of the freeride circle.
What's flying off his bike there lol?
