Moir please....... Goodness that's 12 months riding equivalent for me right there!! Class.

@Helmetor my first though was, ohh poor guy, he does not ride a lot.
Then I made some math: that's 11 minutes of Moir speed which is equivalent to 70 minutes of my speed.
Then I've extrapolated that time, counting only the downhills that I ride on my local trails, and then I though: ohh poor myself.

The final conclusion is that I'm not much into working today.

And he barely seems winded. Impressive!

Really wish he would have bunny hopped the bench at 6:59

everyone in the UK can't even begin to imagine a descent this long.

I'd love to see some metrics like speed, cadence, heartrate, maybe even a G meter? It would make watching everyone's helmet cam footage even more interesting... worth watching each guys.

8:30 with the rider being passed and the straight line over the tree-bridge was insane.

Watts, cadence, speed etc would be cool to see for sure.

I spot this also , impressive

Get 'em jack, what a run.

 What a track, looks amazing.
Even with the camera pointing slightly left the whole way down.
Those couple of outsides missed at the top might have got Jack the win overall, and the slight slow down for the suspected flat/burp.
OMG racing is so good and these kind of Enduro stages after that stage 3 show how incredibly fit these guys are.

It felt like a never ending stage wow imagine trying to memorize it

anyone else hold their breath at that bridge crossing?
Maybe it was the angle of the go-pro, but he looked close to the edge.

Yes, I really want to see the side view there. That was nuts. The rails were obviously shorter than they looked but holy crap.

I hope Strava riders who see that understand that there is no interest in taking things seriously, Pro athletes are not even on the same planet

Looks just like when I ride... except someone pressed fast forward >>
  • 3 1
Wish they'd use a chesty to film so you can get to see the bike and how rough the track is, I'm guessing it's some dumb UCI rule?

I think maybe riders aren't prioritizing go-pro footage? Moi Moi said he's not a fan of vlogging/recording race runs (I get that!), so I'm surprised to even see helmet cam footage.
  • 2 0
Yea they aren't allowed I'm pretty sure, I think in one of his other vlogs he tried and they told him to remount it

Only a few bike lengths separated Moir and Rude after 30 minutes of racing. That was one tight race between those two.

Rutfest Ridge at the beginning! I've been skiing there countless times, and I didn't know this amazing track, d'oh

Wow, awesome stage. A little bit of everything and nice and long. Unreal that the times were so tight with such long tracks!

The wind noise blocking out the huffing and puffing. Excellent :-)
  • 1 0
Is his bike really that quiet or was the wind blocking out the noise? Rarely even heard a skid.
  • 1 0
 It´s quiet
I saw it

Unreal - speeding alongside the cars gave a different perspective!
  • 1 0
good lord how long was the climb to the top?
  • 1 0
8:44 - How the hell did he not clip that railing!!!!
  • 2 0
 Mesmerising !!

How many of the the top 20 were on mullet vs. 27.5 vs. full 29?
  • 1 0
Looking at the results, at least 75% on full 29er, maybe more.
  • 2 0
@RBoardman234s: Looking at spy shots, new bikes, etc., the future of speed looks like high-pivot, not mullet.
  • 1 0
 @SlodownU:

Was there a single high pivot in the top 10 of either the men or women’s results?

Pretty sure not one in the mens. Maybe one in the women’s.
  • 2 0
@mbh1013: Right, but if I were a betting man I would think that the high-pivot phenom will trickle down to Enduro from DH, and the mullet thing will go the same direction as plus-sized wheels.
  • 1 1
@SlodownU: Doubtful - loads of top DH riders on mullets - Hart, Bruni, etc, even when their sponsors don’t make them. Maes rides a mullet as do several other EWS riders. High pivot is the flavour of the month in DH at the moment, but I can’t see it lasting in enduro,

That was an absolute joy to watch

Great stuff! Almost collected a back markerSmile
  • 1 0
That back marker was Florian Nicolai
  • 1 0
What were those curved poles for along the river near the end?
  • 2 0
They hold safety nets in winter. The last part of the track is a ski piste.
  • 2 0
 @Tasso75: Awesome, thanks!
  • 1 0
How the hell do you go that fast?
  • 2 0
 1. Close your eyes 2. Don't brake 3. Hold on
  • 1 0
Italy is the bomb. And jack too!

 "Stage" ... thats little Megavalanche
