bigquotesThe first Pro Stage of the year went down in dramatic fashion at EWS Tweed Valley in Scotland.

Super tight times, super fast racing and some new faces at the top of the table to shake up the standings heading into Sunday's stages.

This has to be the most boring race coverage ever produced. C'mon EWS

Here's a thought: Since Red Bull is on their way out of the DH WC,maybe they could be interested in broadcasting EWS next year...?

@nozes: That would honestly be amazing.

@nozes: you are living in a parallel universe! World Cup DH is going to be run by the EWS people from next year, so basically the opposite of what you suggest will be the new norm

 It's always sucked IMHO.

@MrNally: Good point, but my universe is better than yours.
  • 1 0
@nozes: They need to do their own dh series to replace WC and make are more sponsor / spectator friend trail bike series and just leave the UCI to rot away.

and what is all that green at the finish ?!

What is going on with the lack of coverage?
They must be having some kind of issue.

Seriously what happened to the coverage and media. Last few years have been so epic with Rick and crew. That’s too bad!

All of the above. Really poor coverage.

 All of the below too.

Isn’t Discovery in charge of the EWS broadcast? If so, this is a grim foreshadowing for next year’s DH coverage. Good grief.

Additionally: The whole point of a pro stage should be that you only have one stage on its own day, so you should be able to provide DH-like coverage of the run. This is just awful.

What a deal with this big fish platform... Where's all the cash and investment? Richard Cuningam was able to make 10 times more just on his own... Amd bringing us his amazing vibe... No vibe at all here...

maybe all the original 2022 budget is being kept aside for 2023 DH coverage, as the big wigs at Discovery have realised televised EWS is not a viable business model?

Dear EWS Media Team, considering that this was the very first race of the year, it is not possible to "shake up the standings."

We get better media coverage of a round of the BDS than this.
So little information on what’s going on.
This will kill Enduro if it continues. Maybe time for the big bike companies to properly fund the sport along with the trails that get used.
We were in Madeira a few weeks ago. EWS pays nothing for the track building and repair. I did TM a few years ago, straight after the EWS- the stages were destroyed.
It feels a bit like exploitation

 That’s all ?

Right! e bike class had 13 stages and 7 minutes of highlights, no course preview, and not a single word from the commentators on the pro stage highlights. Hopefully there's a reason for it and full highlights are back to there normal great coverage.

 Dick, too short?

 Terrible coverage

Why even bother trying if this is what you are going to produce.

I’ve been a spectator at one of the EWS events. It was really inspiring seeing the riders come down and play with their bikes in a tricky section.

Somehow the EWS seem not capable to broadcast all this talent and energy in an inspiring way the riders and fans deserve.

I raced the EWS100 today That highlight footage was terrible Didn't capture any of the atmosphere or good bits but of the track

This is the equivalent of watching a concert through a drunk chicks snapchat story.

his poor coverage of Tweed Valley is because there is supposed to be something on eurosport?
  • 1 0
Good point. Pretty sad that a series with a large sports network as a shareholder can't broadcast sports.
  • 3 0
Looked at Kasper Wooleys Insta - there was a live stream of the pro stage in the finish area. So why no better coverage for us?
  • 1 0
 *Woolley, sry

Really poor coverage... very disappointing and can't see why... no excuses! And to treat riders with utter contempt, especially that rely on footage for their income, and then allow others to record that don't as they are sponsored is disgraceful. Enduro really is the poor relation in coverage of cycling sport!

 Lol 2 minutes? Da fuq?
  • 1 0
I used to look forward to watching the footage after an event, now i dont even bother, check the results, see how badly my fantasy team did and then move on. Uninspiring footage that was.....

 So what happened to moir?
  • 2 0
It makes you wonder why they even bother producing something like this. Could just leave it altogether.
  • 2 0
ive not even been doing photography/ videography for long but could do better
  • 3 0
 eerily quiet
  • 2 0
Kinda funny that they put tape on the inside of the gates...
  • 3 0
 Wow, wtf
  • 1 0
Insanely short coverage, I didn't even wait for it to end just switched it off. Not sure what's the issue this time around?
  • 2 0
That commentator kept cracking me up Big Grin
  • 3 1
I kept expecting the announcer to say our pizzas were ready
  • 2 0
it was more exciting just reading the results.
  • 3 0
 Highlights you say?
  • 2 0
that,s more like a very poor "RAW" track side footage than "highlights"
  • 1 0
Did anyone else notice a sqweeky toy sound when Issabaeu compressed at the road crossing?
  • 1 0
I think the finish line commenter has been on the Bucky
  • 2 0
 Agree. Sucks.
  • 1 0
That was so exciting, can’t wait for day 2!
  • 1 0
Could be worse. Could be zero coverage.
  • 2 0
There’s more coverage from riders YouTube channels. Taking a POV from a rider for your coverage is utter garbage.
  • 1 0
Do the live results at least work for you?
  • 1 0
Wow, this is all the coverage we get? The F happened?
