This guy is simply unstoppable! Red Bull Hardline rookie Jackson Goldstone absolutely hammered down the track securing himself the win in the mountains of Wales! What an incredible run!— Red Bull
@Bunabe: The hype is that his juniors times all season were right there with elites. However, everyone kept saying it was a fluke because of how different the track conditions are when the juniors drop compared to the elites.
@Bunabe: Jackson has raced two full seasons of world cup downhill in the juniors category. He won the championship in 2021 and 2022. He will be racing on elites next year.
The early track was in way better shape, you know moisture and less rider have been on so way easier for him to do a faster run. Will see next year's hardline when he race against the other riders.
@ejopdahl, @clalonde, @lklatun I'll throw y'all a bone. When Goldstone has put down top-five times in other events, people have been quick to point out in every PB article that, though it's quite impressive, he does still race in a junior class. That means that the trail is fresher and sometimes the course is slightly modified. This is a play on that typical response.
@nullzwo: That other guy that is pretty much just as fast (perhaps not at hardline) but gets only a fraction of the hype for some reason. Maybe he just needs to grow a mullet.
You can see the huge rock on track he is talking about at the end of his run in the tech section after the metal kicker & drop - it's as big as a pumpkin, right in the middle of the line!
I think that's the sickest pov in a DH race ever. The speed in those berms is just unreal. Mad respect to all these riders, they all rule - but holy balls, Jackson is just unreal - and just getting started.
The dude is just amazing. Back in the day I remember dropping in behind him on a-line He was probably 10 at the time? Doing gravity camps. The little dude was on a tiny 20 inch wheeled full suspension bike clearing every jump on a-line throwing superman's, no handers and cans. It was amazing to watch. So good to see him reaching this potential.
Mini-mullet showed just.....how.......fast he is. If he can ride this way next season, he'll dominate DH.
Too bad we won't have Rob, Elliot and the crew announcing all that radness next year..........
I'm as big of a Jackson fan as anyone, but we gotta pump the brakes a bit here. Yes, he smoked everyone in this race and that was so damn sick, but next year he'll be racing against 5-10 guys better than BK every race. If he wins once next year that would be huge. Look how long it took Finn to get one.
Completely Man. My french fellow rockets clearly have "something" to worry about next year J. Goldstone as well as Finn Iles are such excellent badass riders. Canada's DH has got something serious with them... and madly stylish!
@danstonQ: t’inquiète ton armé française et solidement rapide bruni, vergier, pierron, daprela, coulonges il faut vraiment être rapide pour faire l’équipe française au mondiaux
@ciechan: Jim is from Quebec, you thick twat. Is that English enough for you? I won't mention your own lack of proficiency in your actual mother tongue.

Hence the "woosh" responses.
I thought he would have narrated as he rode.

This one ?
I would not even make it down the start gate at this track.
"I COULD NOT RIDE ANY SECTION OF THIS TRACK" is the only truth.
Jackson is the real deal, I am a fan!
