Beautiful race.
We'll have to see which Sam has returned now that the spotlight is turning back in his direction.
(depression, anxiety, and PTSD can even follow mild concussion, but are extremely common following severe trauma)
So massive congrats to World Champion Sam Gaze for the win ,his recovery, personal growth, and making the world a slightly better place by taking about mental health openly @timryang:
I did not see how much time the crash cost Keller, what was the previous lap split?
We are so going to miss Rob ☹️
GCN/Eurosport will also have the U23 XCO on Sunday morning.....
I'd love to know what has happened, as I think we all thought RBTV would have the Short Track, like last year....
Glad Blevins was wearing the safest road-style helmet on the market…
(last lap of race)
From what I could see, which isn't the greatest he looks like a prime candidate for the Concussion Protocol. Hope he's OK and he can start on Sunday.
"The BMX kid in me knew I had to go for the win in the last corner, even if it meant risking the race. At a certain point around the grass I had committed, and if I had been just a tire length more ahead through the rocks, I think I would’ve had that pass. But that’s the roll of the dice we call racing sometimes."

Proud of Blevins, he put up a great defense.
BB: "A crash of him!"
