Santa Cruz Tallboy Al D kit XL *Price Drop*

$2000 USD
2021 XL Santa Cruz Tallboy Al D Ebony Color. I apologize for the blurry pictures, I'm trying to fix the issue Purchased October 2021 and was ridden two seasons, raced one (took me to state freshman year). Probably about 1200 miles on the frame and most components in total. New (just not the stock) rear rim with just under 600 miles on it, new grips with about 50 or so miles. New front brake literally ridden once around my block. Unfortunately there’s some scratches on it when it was set down on the pavement. Suspension was serviced July this year with less than 100 miles since then. New tires as of may, about 250 miles on them without much abuse, as well as a new gx chain. The front tire is practically new in terms of tread and the rear is a little more worn but still functions perfectly. Dropper is a little finicky (shop said it needs a new cartridge), the bike has been crashed only twice, neither very bad. Seat was damaged and is a little wonky and scratched at the back, but feels mostly ok. Front chainring has a wobble but doesn’t affect shifting, rear rim is a little untrue but works. Overall it’s mechanically sound, with some cosmetic issues. It has been taken good care of, about 2 tune-ups a year, cleaned after every ride, chain lubed, suspension taken care of, it has been well-loved. Specs are as follows: Xl Aluminum frame SRAM Level brakes SRAM nx/sx groupset Stock WTB front rim with new-ish Stan’s NoTubes arch mk4 rear (~$600 value new on Amazon ) Nearly new specialized fast trak/ground control tires Santa Cruz branded WTB saddle SDG Tellis dropper Rockshox Recon fork Fox Float Performance shock 120r/130f travel Will come with some plastic pedals (the kind the bike shop has), NOT the candys. Honestly this is one of the best bikes I’ve ridden, it’s well-suited to the desert trails it’s been ridden in. The suspension tune is amazing, it seems to be bottomless while retaining its short travel whippy feel. Square-edge hits seem to disappear under it, and I’ve never noticed a problem in repeated, fast hits. It’s an excellent technical climber and loads of fun on the downs, both tech and flow. Jumps and drops like a dream. I’ve gotten pretty rowdy on it and it’s never unpredictable in terms of performance. Weighs about 36 lbs but for the casual rider, weekend warrior, or beginner it doesn’t really matter, it even (imo) helps it feel more planted. It really can do it all. I haven’t found anything that it’s necessarily bad at, Santa Cruz did a really good job at making this a very versatile and well-rounded bike. It’s not the most high-end components but they’ve all taken a beating like a champ. This would be such an awesome short-travel shredder or a slopeduro bike with some select component upgrades. It looks like most models like this are selling from $2300 used to $2900 new. When it was purchased it was $3200. $2100 obo because of the use, will consider bike trades. I’m selling because at this point I’m doing way more xc than trail riding and feel like I don’t necessarily need the confidence of this bike. Would prefer local pickup, but will consider shipping as long as buyer pays. Message me please! I will communicate mainly on Pinkbike, and will only give out my number when selling I need this bike gone so I can get my next one.
