Two weeks gone and here we are again with the second race of the BikingBlitz series. For this race we need to drive 200km south from Dublin to Ballyhoura Mountain Bike trail centre located in Limerick. With close to 100km of official waymarked trails it has the largest trail network in Ireland and that means plenty of opportunities for everyone to enjoy. Novice riders needed to complete a full loop of the Brown loop and Expert one full loop of the White Loop.
Saturday was rainy and windy but Sunday delivered a good day so everyone could enjoy. Trails were wet and muddy on some points but nothing unusual in Ireland. Kids, teenagers and adults, everyone had a blast racing between friends and even family. In the women's Expert category the newcomer to MTB Joanna Bula grabbed the first spot with Leah Mc Carthy following 9min after, big achievement for both, Leah for her fast recovery after her injury and Joanna showing that she is here to stay and we will certainly see her again. In the men's racing Gareth Davis is back on where he feels happy, on the top spot on a close battle with Mark Mc Glyn that followed in second by 48s. Third was Robert Mc Keena 4m25s after Gareth.
Next race in two weeks in Derroura, see you there!
