Polish Enduro National Champions Crowned

No more speculation! The Polish Enduro Championships in Srebrna Góra confirmed who is the king and the queen of the Polish enduro this season: Robert Piekara, Katarzyna Burek and Marcin Motyka have all earned well-deserved titles. But it's not just them who will remember this weekend for long!


170 participants will remember the competition organized by Enduro MTB Series and Trasy Enduro Srebrna Góra, supported by Lower Silesia and Kellys, as one of the most challenging this year. Good organization, perfect weather and idyllic atmosphere in the pit area were only the background for the competition, which took place on the mountain fortifications being a part of the Srebrna Góra Fortress.


And the competition hasn't been so fierce for a long time! The two-day formula with Saturday's training, combined with the track released more than three weeks in advance, made most of the riders perfectly familiar with their lines long before the start, reaching the race speeds unachievable when racing "on-sight". And it was the complex, technical nature of the special stages that was the greatest strength of the race in Srebrna Góra.


Race track made for the Champions
The PM Bike Experts team has prepared a route truly worthy of the National Championships. With 5 stages and more than 1600 metres of elevation at about 35 kilometres, it provided about 30 minutes of racing, being the essence of the enduro. Among the experienced riders one could hear that in terms of difficulty, it was world class.


Especially the infamous verticals of the new "Polish Whistler" section (Stage 2) contributed to the insomnia of many racers the night before the start, but the elements requiring constant concentration and impeccable riding technique were common everywhere else too: loose surface, roots, drops, off-cambers... Who won here, can without a doubt claim to be the Polish Champion. Especially that the stages were demanding not only technically, but also physically, favouring neither the downhillers nor cross-country riders.


Results
It was clearly visible on the podium, where next to the leaders of the Polish enduro (Robert Piekara, Marcin Motyka and even the comeback of Mariusz Bryja), stood the legends of downhill (Maciej Jodko) and very strong cross-country riders (Michał Topór).
