VP Endurofest 2015 - Registration has Re-opened

Thanks to continued support from Kali Protectives as well as recent support from Slime, VP Endurofest has re-opened registration and is offering 50 more spots. VP EnduroFest is presented by VP Components and takes place the weekend of June 27th-28th. Registration for the highly anticipated 3rd round of the California Enduro Series first opened on Sunday April 26th and sold out the initial 300 spots by mid-week. Of course it did! The VP Endurofest is a killer weekend of camping and fun in the Sierras at the rustic China Peak Mountain Resort in Lakeshore. The race also offers pro men and women each their own $4000 pay-out to the top 15 riders, and prizes 10 deep in every category.

Pro Course Recon

VP Pro Riders, Lauren Gregg (2014 CES Champion) and Casey Coffman will host a course recon on Friday at 5pm. Riders will all meet at base camp and ride up to scope out some of the key sections of trail where they can get hands-on help and answers to questions. Not only will riders get free advice from the pros on how to tackle the tracks and pick lines, but also get schwagged out from their sponsors.

“China Peak is by far one of my favorite courses and venues of the year,” said Lauren. “The mountain is beautiful, the tracks are fast and challenging, and the venue is great because everyone gets to camp out together which creates an fun vibe. I am really excited that VP and the Endurofest are offering equal cash payout to pro men and women, and I hope this will encourage more women to come out and experience this awesome event!”

The enduro race style is one that combines endurance and technical skill. It is run in a stage race format that breaks down as follows. There will be climbing stages known as “transfer stages” to get the racers to the top of the mountain and timed descents known as “special stages”. Contestants must complete all stages under their own power. Only the special stages (descents) are timed for the results. The winner in each category is based on fastest total time in the special stages.
