Shred! Downhill Mountain Biking is coming to PC, Mac and Linux, but for this to become reality the developer needs your vote on Steam Greenlight! Give it the thumbs up here. The Steam version has seen a major overhaul in graphics. The game features new AAA rendering effects with lush foliage, atmospheric environmental effects and texture resolutions over 4x higher than that of the mobile counterparts. Additionally Keyboard and Game-pad controls are supported giving the game a much more intuitive, tactile and immersive playing experience.

"I grew up watching all of the classic movies - Mud Cows, Kranked, Sprung, Down, and later the NWD and Earthed series. Watching the likes of Wade Simmons, Richie Schley, Tippie, Steve Peat and Bender (to name but a few!) ripping it up in amazing locations was a massive inspiration. Consequently I went out there, built jumps, trashed wheels, hucked-to-flat and made annual pilgrimages to the Alps. But as much as I loved living the MTB lifestyle, the reality of daily life meant going out to ride was not always possible. I created Shred! to fill this void, to give everyone the opportunity to be the star and send it at your convenience - whether sitting at home, on a bus, or taking a lunch break!"

Drive the uplift, but don't damage the bikes

Shred! is currently available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices.

The mobile version has recently been updated with the 'UK Bike Park' add-on featuring more exciting downhill and freeride action, an all new 'Enduro' bike, rider and levels, drive-able 4x4 uplifts, wet, muddy and gnarly UK terrain, a bangin' new soundtrack and some crazy antics thrown in for good measure!

Happy Shredding!

I really must look this out although I'm not much of a gamer personally but I wanted to say how impressive that this whole project is a SOLO effort. To that end, I can't believe you're getting crap for a (unintentional) £1.50 add on too... what an insult, and these people need their perspective slapped into check. Admittedly, I know nothing about game design but to do all the work, music, sound design etc is seriously impressive. None of this looks easy to me! Good luck with the game and continued support Smile

It was only 64p for me, I don't mind paying an extra 64p!

looks really cool, but would be nice if in a 3d version it wasnt quite so arcade-like and emulated more of a realistic downhill track with smaller features that you would genuinely come upon on a DH track, just rough, steep nd twisty, but im guessing that would take a whole lot more work than making oversized features that are spread out. Still very cool looking game tho!

I agree, it would be great to see a first perspective downhill game. Although, for one man to put so much time and effort into creating a MTB game from scratch, really is impressive. It looks good man, can't wait to play it.

A huge achievement to create all this without any help, what a talent! Been enjoying this on Windows Phone for a while now and am stoked for the extra content! Best of luck with getting greenlit.

Absoutely killed it with the UK add on - I'm a huge fan. Little details like the remixed "Boyz in da woodz" soundtrack, combined with UK push up and Race day toilet had me laughing

Haha you remember "Boyz in da woodz"?

Fantastic work here buddy however, I do feel like I'd go faster on a carbon V10 rather then an industrial Orange.

Its not an Orange its a "Shredder" Wink Seriously though, if any bike manufacturers want their bikes featured in the game give me a shout!! Its a great advertising space!
