It was back to Cape Town for the always exciting, annual Urban Assault DH race this past weekend. Starting at Signal Hill, riders descended into the historic Bo Kaap, down the concrete staircases, and onto a tar road that lead to the finish line.

Unlike the usual timing format where the fastest of your race runs are used, the two race runs of the day's times are combined. Meaning you have to put in two faultless runs to have any chance of a podium. Weather conditions were great for racing with perfect sunny skies on both days.

Overall it was another successfull Urban Assualt, with no serious injuries, however the marshalling for this event was not on par and lead to a number of very close calls.
