Pinned both ways, up and down, as much as my aging self can handle.

Review: The Bluegrass Legit Carbon Helmet Is, Well, Legit
Umm… I’m basically a dentist according to PB and I certainly do NOT approve. The price point is absurd. ABSURD. If the market says “Okay, I’ll take one.”, then brands will continue to put out products at these price points. I say no!

Qualifying Results from the Vallnord DH World Cup 2022
I was going to wait before checking the quali results, but I thought, “I wonder if Gwin put something together. Hmmm…. Screw it, let’s have a look.” And he did. Very stoked on that!

Opinion: How to Make the Enduro World Series More Exciting for the Fans
I’m probably saying nothing new here, but I’ll shoot anyway: These events seem more like amazing backdrops for teams, participants, and organizers to create content…tons of content…which I love watching at my leisure. Head to head race coverage could be better, but it’s not a priority (for me). In terms of content, I get stoked to see the top guys as well as the lower tier riders. They’re all amazing bike handlers and it’s just fun to watch and learn from. The qualifier makes sense in some ways, but then I could see it creating risk for teams in terms of getting the most time on track / exposure / coverage (going to my first point). An interesting variation might be to have each stage have fewer and fewer riders. That would create some drama, maintain a good amount of track time, and provide some incremental progression to the event. Getting back to content, I’d love to hear more about the bikes, the riders, the teams, and the places. Again, this is just one man’s opinion, but I do love all things mountain bike and more is more!

Reece Wilson to Miss the Leogang DH World Cup
@commental: Excellent call on the commentary booth. Reece is a top athlete, looks good on TV, has charisma, knows his stuff, and is well spoken on the fly. The dude has a great future in sport (omitting “the” in this case). I’d love to see him back on track, but in the booth is a close second. Cheers, mate.

Katy Bond Named CEO of Rocky Mountain
@danielfloyd: Right!?! I also think it’s great that they ultimately promoted someone from within their own ranks. It goes a long for the culture to show that kind of opportunity, although a distinctly unique one in this case. Rocky makes some great bikes, they seem committed to the sport, and they have great personalities representing their products. Looks like they’re set to continue on that path. Very cool. I wonder how that guy at Canyon is doing.
