Evoc would like to reward you for your blunders by dishing out prizing for the best fail of each month. Here are our picks for January.

 nor get podium!!!
  • 11 2
I have won this contest countless times.....never any video of it though. Just a lot of evidence.
  • 1 4
number 4 and 5 was the worst crashes i have seen xD
and number 3 is just a video showing you how to learn to build jumps in the hard way hahahaBig Grin

@OMGBBQ Know the feeling! Been off my bikes for the last two weeks after an OTB into a tree (upside down, so lower back took the hit), also landed on the top my head so probably would've destroyed my gopro.

So on one hand I'm glad I only had to fork out for a new helmet and some physio, but on the other hand I have no evidence other than, according to my girl, a lower back that looks like it's 3 months pregnant ;-)

I almost won back in april, a free bag just because you biffed it? not too shabby.
  • 65 1
#3 was clearly a new test developed to examine front-impact strength of bicycle frames as well as the resilience of the human ribcage when exposed to a high speed impact with a chunk of aluminum. It's very efficient.
  • 50 2
#1 why do people still film vertically? Its so annoying
  • 22 1
#1 should not win simply because it's filled vertical, with a potato.

dunno...I tend to think it's kind of appropriate for a "fail" video. Double fail.
  • 27 2
#5 was definitely the baddest. #4was close. But #5....man!!! He landen on his face and chest from like 3rd floor at high speed! I hope the ground was softer than it looked!
  • 3 1
it's Wales, really nice, soft and puffy ground, no pain at all.... LMAO!
  • 23 0
sweet jesus, #3 knocked the wind out of me from my computer.
  • 10 1
It knocked the wind out of my computer...
  • 22 0
It knocked a mighty wind out of my pants.
  • 13 1
Im going for number 5...."you alright ?" didn't really capture the drama of the moment.
  • 5 0
I was so disappointed with myself that I didn't capture the actual carnage better.
  • 2 0
I saw enough, anymore and we'd be on an x-rated site. Is he ok?
  • 3 0
@teggg What happened to him? Was he okay?
  • 2 0
6 stitches in the leg and a stiff neck.
  • 2 0
Is the dude a hulk or something that crash was nasty
  • 2 0
I was more just gutted I didn't land it!! I had been waiting months to hit that because of work commitments and stuff getting in the way.
  • 7 0
#2 i the one that shows the most pain of a crash and he says hes ok but then he realized he had a massive sratch on his back and leg and a f*cked up knee and probably a broken helmet and never listen to a kid that says go for it joel
  • 3 1
He also said he was fine before he stopped moving. Based on this alone, #2 should win.

#4 had me laughing for about an hour though
  • 8 0
Can't see how the winner impress me...
  • 4 0
Sheer size of the jump. For a guy that doesn't really look like a jumper, seems like he just did it for the f*ck of it which they respected. Just my thoughts.
  • 1 0
 DAVIE DAVIE DAVIE DAVIE
  • 8 0
#3 for the pure comedy value
  • 5 0
#3 for the pure optimism :p
  • 7 1
 I'm thinking number #5.

'f*ck, y'alright?' I'm thinking the answer to might be, 'f*ck, negative.'
  • 1 0
 Awesome! Love those clean snaps!
  • 8 0
 #3 best defines "fail".
  • 3 0
They are all good, make my old-man wipe outs (read; slow falls, gently sliding to a stop with a "Ooomph", in a dustcloud, emitting noises not even I knew I could) look tame. Well, they are...
  • 6 2
#1 for sure. When your front flip trick don't come out like you want it, at least finish it with a superman-face first trick. And when all goes wrong, split your ride in two.
  • 1 0
And what makes it even better is in the first one you can just see the edge of an airbag
  • 3 1
#4 looks like strong potential for broken legs.
#5 delivers high odds of broken neck.

#5 takes it. I really hope both guys were ok - either is a massive & horrible crash
  • 3 0
#3 everyone has had that one time they managed to misjudge the speed for a gap unbelievably badly. My own was going 20ft on a 40 footer.Stacked the case p
pad.
  • 2 1
I'm surprised to say that i have ridden at both the #3 and #4 locations. #3 is a creek in my home town, and #4 is the Gypsy trail at Northstar. I crashed on the same jump last summer! Went right over the bars. Gonna get it right next season
  • 1 0
Where is the jump in davis? I'm curious, now I want to go hit it.
  • 2 0
All I remember is that it's by a farm somewhere in north Davis. Sorry not much help, it was so long ago! The same creek has some massive BMX jumps too, though it may be gone now
  • 1 0
Hmmm. Its cool! Thanks for the help
  • 5 0
5 of the heaviest front tires ever made.
  • 6 3
 #1 for:
- 2 crashes for the price of one
- clean dive on the 1st one
- surgical snap of the frame
Back-up as #5. Steel balls or chipmunk sized brain? Up for debate

success and failure in extreme sports is a tight wire line, the fear of falling off or the triumph of making it. It is part of the lure that draws the human spirit to try!

The wise and philosophic however have it better defined. "Bravery and stupidity is often a fine line, blurred by those doing and and not those watching".

My scars, pins and arthritus has me obviously not defined as wise but probably more time than not called.....
  • 2 0
the chap leaving his bike poking into the trail in #3 didnt help the poor dude...it distracted him.....but he still didnt have the speed
  • 4 0
wales certainly had a chance of winning this month, that was savage!
  • 2 0
Simply because #3 shows the entire horrible event better than 5, I think that one takes it. I still can't figure out what exactly happened in 4.
  • 3 0
#3 because I see a big potential Wink
  • 4 1
The post crash commentary on #5 wins it for me!
  • 3 0
That "I'm fine" was so casual that I was like who the f*ck said that?
  • 3 0
#4 I was there when he crashed. It was gnarly
  • 3 0
Number 3 provided the laughs but 4 and 5 provided the "oh shits"
  • 4 1
#4 he wanted to boost, bike wanted to scrub
  • 4 1
5 all day long, with 4 close
  • 4 1
I put my vote on #5, that high speed crash man.. aouch!
  • 2 0
number 2 "IM FINE" thats not something that I usually say when I hit the deck
  • 2 0
 Fine was relative haha
  • 1 0
Were you fine in the end or were you just being macho? Smile
  • 1 0
Well I was fine compared to other crashes I've had (broken bones) but it still hurt, nothing serious
  • 3 0
All of them are winner quality this month.
  • 4 1
 #5, gnarly.

  • 2 1
#1 funnest crash and his friends laugh! THEN, that bike snap, seriously gnarly.

#2 just because he "thinks" hes alright
  • 1 1
#4 - All the times I've ridden Northstar, I always wanted to see someone take the middle jump. I guess I never will get to see how its done.
  • 3 1
