Throwback Thursday: 9 Bikes Turning 10 in 2023
Got my '13 Superfly 100 Elite SL here on PB classifieds back in '20 for $1300.
Doesn't seem like a 10 year old bike! Can't imagine a faster XC bike (for me). Feels to me like it was ahead of its time with 29" & G2 geometry.
1x conversion and upgrades, 19" frame=- 22.2 lbs with pedals. I don't think I can buy a current bike that gets down to that for under $10k. I'm $2k all in.

If my math is right, each employee owner on average stands to earn ~ $300k cash pre-tax with the sale as well.

Clincher, rim brake
Light and stiff.
1444 Grams.
With skewers, tires and tubes.
Front skewer is OE Mavic, rear is generic old school.
Two Continental GP 4000 SII tires (25c). Front still has some life left in it, the rear will need replacement soon.
Brake tracks look good, normal wear and tear, some scratches on the spokes from transport.
Spin smooth and true - no issues.
Safely boxed with hub end caps - ready to go.

38t is exactly right for a 50t rear cog. Not saying it's not a big deal. but he's got a huge rear cog.
maybe he doesn't use the biggest gear much or at all.
Same ratio as my 32t f + 42t rear : 0.76
and I have spaghetti legs...
I try to stay off mine except for emergencies too.

Take off OE wheels from 2013 Trek Superfly 100 SL Elite
Wheels have been sitting unused for many years and came as a backup set (original spec) with a used bike I purchased.
Rims appear to have very light use, see photos for condition.
Tires have 90%-95% tread remaining.
Currently set up as tubeless
Front tire: Continental Mountain King 2.2
Rear tire: Bontrager XR4 team issue 2.3
Willing to part out tires if requested (-$25)
