I want the bike and his lowered van in the backround.
  • 5 6
Yeah, that Ford Transit is sweet! Bike's alright, I guess....
  • 2 1
on his instagram he says that van is 300bhp. i like it more now
  • 3 0
Pretty sure that's a vauxhall combo not a transit connect and yeah bikes alright..

I'm Canadian; we don't have Vauxhall, and they look almost identical. You're right, though, It's a Vauxhall.

0:08.....that scared the crap out of me...

I like that he actually went through the whole bike instead of just talking about the frame and wheelsize. Saw him at Highland's Claymore Challenge and I'm always stoked to watch him ride since. Best of luck this year mate!

 Umm....

Here we paint our street bikes to be most discreet as possible.... I wouldn't ride my gold bike here at night, lol

Just like Woody Itson's Trick Star. Some of you older guys will know what I'm talking about...
  • 2 0
LOL, I know exactly what your talking about, BMX Plus....

Exactly! Woody also dispells the myth about it being stolen and missing. He has it at his house on display.

The only thing is, Woody's bike was actually gold plated. I think this one is just painted gold.

 What's it like for enduro?
  • 2 0
Probably one of the most dialed looking pro bikes around Smile

Personally I would have sticked with only the gold frame, and everything else black, but this looks good aswell Smile

Stick to riding em Sam, your a great likeable guy but you couldn't do this as your day job lol
  • 1 0
I'm not sure why, but this video just made me like him more. I think it's because Chris Akrigg is my all time favorite rider and Pilgrim's accent and personality made him seem like his DJing brother or something.

 80-90 psi? Had no idea.

I don't think that Race Kings are rated that high. Also I don't think he's right. Maybe 50 psi at the most.
  • 13 1
That's fine if the tires aren't rated that high, but why would you think Sam doesn't know the PSI he puts in his own tires?
  • 19 1
It's cool that you know what pressure sam pilgrim runs better than he does.

I know tires. Race Kings would blow off the rim at 90 psi. There's a reason why tires have maximum pressure ratings.
  • 7 1
We aren't saying you don't know tires... We are asking you why you think Sam Pilgrim doesn't.... How do you know he doesn't get specially binned tires from his sponsor?

I think that there are a lot of riders out there who don't know that much about their bikes or how they work. After all it's usually up to the team mechanic to work on them, not the riders. And I'm fairly positive that Continental wouldn't make a special Race King 26x2.0 tire rated up to 90 psi just for a few riders.
  • 5 0
I ran primo dirt monster/V monsters on my BMX (which are rated at 65psi) at 90psi with no issues. I don't think i'd ride park with 50psi in my tires, thats asking for snake bites, Sam rides dirt/park/street.

I would trust a 90 psi tire on a BMX bike before I would trust it on an MTB. Also Pr1mo Dirt Monster tires are designed for dirt jumping and probably have a thicker casing and a stronger bead, not to mention they're not a folding tire. Race Kings are XC race tires with a folding bead and are designed for racing where the tires are constantly planted on the ground, not for impacts.
  • 3 1
a lot of riders arnt on teams mate. we dont all have team mechanics. i work on my bike, and on my dirt jumper i'm running maxxis crossmarks and my psi rating is something like 65 and i'm running 85. I doubt its a 'special' race king, you can run above the psi rating, its not advised thats why theres a rating , but you can.
  • 4 1
Seraph you cray cray, used to run my dirt jump bike with 80PSI for years with continental/dmr tyres, you have to inflate them to about that initially if you want them to seat properly quite often anyway. Having a higher pressure prevents snakebites, something Sam Pilgrim would no doubt get often if he ran 45psi, Pilgrim also doesn't have a mechanic bro so I'm pretty sure he inflates his own tyres, slopestyle isn't that well supported!
  • 2 1
"Not for impacts" he says... So XC racers must have both tyres contacting the ground at all times? No wonder I never win!
  • 2 2
Dude, you don't experience the same kind of force of impacts on your XC bike that you do on a DJ bike. How is that hard to understand?
  • 1 0
I run 80psi with DMR 2.3 Moto RT Tyres! Lol
  • 1 3
Motos are DJ tires. They probably have a thicker casing than an XC race tire. I can definitely see some kids watching this video and then getting Race King tires, pumping them up to 90 psi, and being surprised when their tires explode for no reason.
  • 1 0
'Probably', so much speculation on the internet, I can assure you moto diggas have a weak as puss sidewall, don't ever try downhill with them, 4 snakebites in 3 runs :/
  • 2 1
@seraph - "I can definitely see some kids watching this video and then getting Race King tires, pumping them up to 90 psi, and being surprised when their tires explode for no reason."

Probably the first comment you have made in this thread that makes sense. Although I would submit that some of the kids are probably smart enough to put 2 and 2 together and realize that running 90 PSI will save them from snakebites but may cause other issues.

Still doesn't explain why you are so full of yourself to think that Sam Pilgrim (an approachable normal guy) doesn't know the PSI he puts in his own tires and you do...

It has nothing to do with being full of myself. I'm sorry that you see it that way. But I have heard many pros over the years say wrong "facts" about their bikes, and I have had Cat 1 and pro racers come into the store who had absolutely no idea about even the simplest things regarding the mechanical functions of various parts on their bikes.
  • 2 0
Not sure if i didn't hear it or it wasn't in the vid... but how much does is weigh?
  • 4 0
I didn't hear him say, but I'd guess maybe 25 lbs at the least.
  • 2 0
Its around 10-11kg, if you watch the video on youtube it is mentioned in one of the commentsSmile

There you go. US/ Canada distributor
  • 1 0
Ah tru i thought they were only in europe, like some of the other bike companies. None of the shops i have been to sold them and i have never seen one around here so i just assumed. It looks like there are only a few distributers in the U.S.
  • 1 0
 CRC sells NS.
  • 1 4
dont go to shops... theres a whole world online
  • 3 0
or you could support your local bike shop..
  • 1 0
I recently got a p.26 from my local bike shop so im no longer in the market for one but if any of the lbs's had ns bikes i would of scooped one up. I always go thru the local shop for complete bikes, but if i need parts i usually go with online and install them myself.
