Succession, ecologically speaking, is viewed as the rise and fall of organic communities in an ecosystem. As mountain bikers we not only experience these changes but are part of them. Whether good or bad, natural or man made, our landscapes and the tools we use to view these changes are constantly evolving. However, no matter what happens within these communities, our trails remain a front row seat to this succession.

If you're going to spend the time coming up with a really cool premise for your video you should give it a nod somewhere during the video itself. Maybe a close-up of a dripping fern or perhaps a slug or two. Maybe one of those great shots where you digitally make the forest change from summer to fall. Otherwise I'm totally cool with the title "Dude Ripping".

 Yeah I missed the tie-in

I read the blurb before watching the video so I was sort of looking at the trail with that theme in mind. I'd prefer a little text blurb like this to some wanky voice over explaining ecology over slow motion shots while waiting for the action to start.

Ecological , I don't care about roostin berms etc. The more damaging point of our sport has gotta come from swapping bikes out every 12 months and the rise of plastic etc...... That can't be right

the weather, trees, shrubs, dirt, hills, all contribute to the landscape that we pass through and that landscape tells a great narrative. So, when we get that moment to rest we should all take the time to read and gain an appreciation for that story
