Aaron Gwin Seen on Concealed Bike at Southridge Winter Series Round 4 & Race Report
@mtnrush666: It is common to see him out on Sat and then not race on Sun. At least a couple times a year. As far as the next weekend goes, there would not be a course set up and that is a different hill. I have been there when there was no tape set up and there are so many routes that cross each other. It is not fun at all.

10 Bikes of Red Bull Hardline
@VPS13: Not anymore from what I was told. The patent for VPP has expired. That is why on some of the newer bikes you see variations and they call it "Steber Tuned Suspension" or something like that.

Curtain Call: Finals Photo Epic - Val Di Sole DH World Cup 2017
Agreed, Steve Smith's 2013 season was just amazing. Being form So Cal, of course I am always stoked for Aaron Gwin. I have met him a few times and he is a great person. Still, that run that Steve Smith down MSA to beat Gee Atherton that did his run in dry conditions, well for me that was my favorite run ever.

This One Time, At Team Camp
Well, there is no urine on the fence so with the evidence at hand I would doubt he actually peed on the fence. The guy is like 16 or 17, when I was at that age I peed in a lot of places I would not as a mature adult. Have you ever been to the top of a race that does not have facilities? Or maybe even the top of a shuttle ride at a crowed spot? It is a pee fest, in fact Cam Zink was fined last year for peeing outside a facility. Lame pic for sure but I would hardly blame any DH rider for taking a piss somewhere he should not be. It happens.

@cgdibble: I am avid pressure washer. I live in a condo (in SoCal and drought sensitive) with a chick so my bikes must be clean when I get home. First of all, pressure washers use far less gallons per minute than a hose. When you factor in the efficiency it is even less. Second, I talked to an engineer at Fox and he said as long as you are not putting the nozzle right on the seal for an extended period of time it is perfectly OK. Once you get more than 4 to 6 inches away from the nozzle the stream really is not that strong. Also I talked to the Trek mechanic that recently passed and he said way better than leaving the bike dirty. For me, I have cracked open a Cane creek 40 headset, a Sram GXP bottom bracket and a set of Hope hubs after many pressure washes. All were fine and had plenty of clean grease. The Hope hubs actually looked brand new. When I got my DVO suspension rebuilt I asked the tech if there were signs of moisture and he said “NO’. So not cringe worthy.

Neck Braces - Should You Be Wearing One?
I also do not like that the part that extends down my neck covers up my name on my race jersey. Just joking...

Neck Braces - Should You Be Wearing One?
I don’t use mine mainly because it is an older one and a pain in a neck to transport. I keep meaning to get one of the new folding Leatte ones. Personally. I had a rough crash with one and had a sore neck for a week. I also had a worse crash where I bashed into a rock with the face shield of my helmet. Much worse, my head was thrown back and like the lesser crash with it I had a stiff neck for a week. I do have a question for all the people that claim one saved their lives. How do you know? I do not follow motocross but I was told the only guys using them are guys getting paid to use them. I have also heard it is the only piece of protective gear that will cause an injury (broke clavicle). I also heard a wild story of a woman rider that crashed with one and the handle bar made way up between the brace and her neck/head and nearly choked her to death. Still, I will probably get another.
