$120 for a flannel marketed for mechanical work? Gotta love it!
  • 38 6
falls right in line with their prices for all of their products.
  • 36 2
Just wait till you see the price of an airshaft for that shirt
  • 59 0
i feel like you get an "airshaft" for free when you buy this shirt.
  • 16 9
@novajustin: no, you just get shafted.
  • 16 0
$10 flannels from Costco for the win. Thick, warm, cheap AF.
  • 11 2
@topherdagopher: And made in the same sweatshop. I prefer going down the road to NF for riding clothing where Travis cuts, sews and mails the stuff as fast as he and his wife can! I would even be excited if somehow they managed to get rich keeping jobs local.
  • 5 0
It's got twin pockets in case the first one fails. If you ever had a pocket failure when on a long ride you know that it is worth the cost. And it doubles as a secondary SWAT box.
  • 5 0
@Jvisscher: That's a good point. A lot of people don't think about the human and environmental capital that goes into the things they buy. Buying high quality clothing (i.e. lasts a looooong time) manufactured close to home is best if you can afford it.
  • 1 0
@Jvisscher: what company are you referring to?
  • 2 1
@Jshemuel: sorry for the other typo, www.ridenf.com

 1) Buy a bunch of black pullover hoodies from walmart.com
2) Find the cheapest screen printer to put on a logo for $3 per sweatshirt
3) Set outrageous price of $70
4)?????
5) Profit
  • 12 0
Order them in bulk for way more profit. T shirt sales can make a killing.
  • 9 0
Sounds like every "boutique" soft goods company right now. You have people charging $80-100 for a sweatshirt that cost them $15 to make.
  • 21 1
@villaphoto: Wait until you find out about the profit margins on most items ever sold.
  • 3 0
@nickgarrison: Oh I'm well aware. Which is why it's absurd how things are priced. But as long as people are willing to pay, it's not going to change.
  • 8 1
I doubt these are Walmart quality sweatshirts. 70 is still a lot for a sweatshirt, but I’ve paid similar for high quality shirts/sweatshirts and they are pretty worth it in my opinion.
  • 5 3
@Solorider13: are you type of person who gets suckered into the t-shirt ads that pop up on instagram? if so, you got got.
  • 4 0
@villaphoto: taking a page right out of Supremes play book make shitty quality and plain heat press garbage and sell it for top dollar.
  • 2 0
cut sleeves off the shirt yourself; save a fortune!
  • 1 0
I believe step 4 isn't ?????. It's "Enjoy the advertising you get from someone paying for the privilege"
  • 2 0
 @novajustin:

Lol no all that stuff is trash. I’m saying if a company makes a sweatshirt or shirt from a quality shirt than it’s usually worth the extra Both in longevity and fit.

If it’s a champion or Hanes sweatshirt they can f*ck right off though
  • 3 1
'Cause Walmart is definitely a beacon of ethics in the commercial world. If you care more about quality, longevity, the impact of the product lifecycle, jobs, fair treatment of employees, ethical business practice, sustainability or pretty much anything other than JUST price - you wouldn't buy clothing at Walmart. Not defending Fox here, but you defo shouldn't be defending Walmart.
  • 2 0
@OrangeGoblin: who is defending walmart here?
  • 2 1
 @novajustin:

That’s what I’m trying to figure out
  • 1 0
@novajustin: Apologies, I think I read your post wrong - stand down ;-) . I thought you were recommending getting hoodies from Walmart instead.
  • 53 0
Waiting for the Marzocchi line to come out next month at a lower price point.
  • 14 0
and it will be kinda niche but way cooler
  • 4 4
 Underrated comment
  • 3 1
yeah, but it's only for freeriders
  • 2 0
same outside shell, but less adjustments, so no hoodie laces
  • 1 0
Maybe there will be a flannel meant to ride in.
  • 48 2
SOOO will Fox Head be making suspension now too to level the playing field?
  • 9 0
I’m totally foxed, I can’t make head nor tail of this
  • 26 0
How about expanding your hard goods offerings? There's a shortage of parts, not flannel.
  • 17 0
Look man, I just want to be able to find a bolt-on fender for my Fox 36. Please.
  • 1 0
Think rapid racer products make one
  • 1 0
If FOX took their apparel line seriously they would sell a fender brimmed hat and clothing with hidden pockets for their more-expensive-than-gold tools so they don't get stolen and also have the added bonus of a tool-that-finds-it-self-sore-spots after you pass out drunk on the shop floor because you cant find said tool and forgot you actually was wearing it all the time. Don't be so conformist FOX, innovate in these areas too!
  • 1 0
 @hanjob: I have the 2021 36. The Syncros one doesn't fit up right. :/
  • 18 1
 Shacket - shit jacket ?

  • 14 0
A casual sweater that's both stylish and technical. Just what I've been waiting for all these years. Thanks FOX!!
  • 7 0
Not only can you rock it while working on your bikes, or riding, you can rock it on out on a night on the town, and sophisticated wine tasting at posh wineries. Potential of wearing occasions is limitless.
  • 2 0
@tacklingdummy: pair that with the fact it has DWR coating exactly where you need it, on the elbows
  • 15 0
"Heavyday" sounds like a menstruation product.
  • 4 5
That would explain her expression on the roof of the Jeep's fibergrlass sheel
  • 9 0
You should've marketed that gear bag in the 2nd pic, literally the best purchase I've made for long bike trips or even day trips.
  • 3 1
BTW for my canadian friends, look at Decathlon for a real deal on a quality duffel bag! and comes in different sizes too!
www.decathlon.com/collections/backpacking-backpacks-and-duffel-bags
i bought the 40L to 60L and it's perfect for all your riding gears ( half shell helmet fits perfectly in their)
Decath ROCKS and is nice on your wallet
#BikeIndustryIsRobbery
  • 3 0
@audric: I use their “Kipsta” (soccer) 40L hold-all for my riding kit, it cost less than a pair of MTB brand socks.
  • 8 0
At $92 bucks for a hoody...are you telling me we can't make that in Canada or the US at a profit? Although I don't know for sure where that hoodie is made, all of my current Fox head gear is made overseas.
  • 15 0
If a company can choose between profit and more profit, more profit nearly always wins.
  • 1 0
if you go to a site called taobao (chinese amazon) you will see the real prices reflected in factory seconds. usually $10-15 for a sweatshirt max.
  • 8 0
"We're sold out with our suspension products until 202X, how can we make more money?"
"Sell more clothes!"
"Brilliant!"
  • 9 1
I can’t make heads or tails of this announcement.
  • 7 1
More clothing with names all over it, No thanks, don't mind yah forks though, wish you did more stickers.
  • 6 1
Fox clothing and Fox suspension are actually completely separate companies.
  • 4 0
Oh i missed the bit that this appears to be Fox suspension's clothing line... Nevermind me.
  • 2 0
@rarerider: While that's not wrong, this line of apparel products isn't actually sold by Fox Racing Inc. (the clothing company) but by Fox Factory Inc. (the suspension brand - also known as Fox Racing Shox). Weird, right?
  • 2 0
@rarerider: Well, one of their models in this Fox clothing shoot is the RaceFace videographer, who also happened to do the first season of Fox Suspension's Dialed show, so I'd suggest they are more closely tied than you might think.
  • 2 0
@fabh1124: That's the point I was trying to make. They are one of the same.
  • 1 0
@mammal: fox suspension and race face are the same company. Fox racing (the fox head logo) is different.
  • 2 0
@Austink: Let's call them Fox Head and Fox Ass to make that clear
  • 2 0
@mammal: Neil, lets hang soon! its been too long
  • 1 0
@connormacleodvideo: Roger that buddy. We can catch up about your modelling career!
  • 7 0
 These are some cringe-worthy descriptions.
  • 2 1
When your entire 2021 supply of forks is stuck on an impounded container ship, the marketing department has to keep their skills sharpened somehow.
  • 3 0
"Overland Henley". This is how we know Fox is reaching to justify their stuff. That marketing term is so dumb. Whenever you see it, expect to instantly pay more.

I will pay a premium for things made here, in the US, by US workers whenever possible. This is just more generic, needlessly expensive, garbage.
  • 6 0
It's all about the lifestyle folks. Get on board.
  • 8 4
And looking all Pacific Northwest EMO on top of a Jeep in your empowered sleeveless.
  • 3 2
@blowmyfuse: WHAT is she doing up there? lol
  • 4 2
@crazyXCsquirrel: refusing to come down. And she wants you to ask her why so she can look away a few more times sullenly before responding.
  • 5 0
 @blowmyfuse: It's a Jeep thing. You wouldn't understand.
  • 6 2
$90 for a flannel that will probably look like shit after 3 washes just like the rest of their clothes
  • 17 13
Is this what counts as news nowadays?
  • 28 0
every magazine to ever exist, online or otherwise, has sold pages to advertisers. that's all this is.

@chriskneeland: would u like some cheese with that whine?
  • 9 1
@chriskneeland: if this counts as "deciphering", you've got some major issues bud.
  • 3 5
@jaycubzz: It'd be cool if they added a "trash" label
  • 3 2

  • 6 1
@chriskneeland: Are you saying you're built different, like you don't have a brain?
  • 5 1
@chriskneeland: Here's a pro tip: If the first words in a headline are a brand name, you might be about to read an ad.

@jaycubzz: Or, they could stick to news in the news feed. What a concept.
  • 4 2
@chriskneeland: agree with you regarding “trash” post warnings. This would allow readers to quickly filter out your posts as well Big Grin
  • 1 4
@SterlingArcher: Hey man, you're the one defending this trash. Sounds like you fit nicely in the pile.
  • 3 2
@chriskneeland: wow you’re really stupid lol

@SterlingArcher: Bro how can you even defend this shit. You're telling me you want more of this trash in the news feed. You're a clown.

No creativity and priced above what the target market wants to pay..as an apparel designer by trade it's actually funny to see how out of touch FOX is with their customer base.
  • 2 0
What are they going to call it if they decide to spin off their sift goods business again?
  • 4 2
They don’t need to. They bought RaceFace.

This stuff is essentially rebranded RaceFace.
