I can see why graves would choose to ride his enduro bike as he is probabally most comfortable on it after riding it all season but for the majority of the field should stick to what they're used to.
Regardless of how flat or pedally it is it's still flat out fast and I would like to have the slower steering and more stable feel of a DH bike , but some one like graves could gain huge amounts of time of the pedals , I think he will be top 10 maybe as high as 6th.
"I" would love that track on my Nomad C(because i want to have fun)! But in a race situation? DH bike all the way. Quite possibly the sickest corse IMO(speed in mind).
obviously want Gee or Peat to win, or any other British rider! but its a track built for good fitness and leg power, got to be out of Minaar, Gwin, Gee, Smith, Hannah or even Graves.
CANT WAIT
Yeah it would be his 3rd and at home, would do amazing things for our sport in this country, after loosing Burry last year, it feels like we've lost a bit of traction on the world stage, not trying take anything away from the like Needles, Pottie and the others, just saying
Looks 650b-able. Don't hate on me for the observation. Personally I would prefer a gnarly tight steep course. But that track there, a smoother rolling bike might perform better.
Peaty is the coolest! He even signed me a plastic garbage bag when I asked him! Thought he was going to knock me out, but he just took it as the champ he is and went for it! Rock on peaty!
Everyones bitching and moaning about how much this track sucks and its not challenging enough. To me its a nice change of pace and we'll see who the best athlete is come Sunday. If you don't like it start a petition and submit it to UCI.
Tough call to make but I would think that whoever can pedal will come out on top so...my guess would be Gee if I had to pick. As far as who I would like to see win? Too many to name really...they all deserve it in my book! Best of luck to all of them!
Do rules say that it has to be on a full dh bike? Was thinking maybe his Bronson would be better?, especially as its a course with alot of pedalling! ... Could be wrong.
I think jared graves has got a great set up for this track and thats the one id choose but i want any of the santa cruz boys to win (especialy peaty or ratboy!).
For me that's not a dh track, I ride more tech on an average ride than that, If a long travel 29er existed, it would be better, as theres no tight tech sections. Bring back proper tracks....
get the link to the youtube site, then put "ss" inbetween www. and youtube; www.ssyoutube.com/watch It will download the video and shouldn't be blocked by your work filter.

Don't follow your logic there.... There is plenty of rocks and rough on that track that would kill an enduro or am bike in the wrong hands, whereas a Dh bike would plough through them. But you can't pedal the Dh bike as well. If you have the skills and more importantly the balls to do it on an am bike, then why not? This ain't formula one and all the silly rules, this is a gunfight. If someone wants to bring a knife, and they can use it, they can win. And a win is a win.
