 yo what is that dude with the carbon demo 8 doing!?! Short-shorts, hiking boots, and a t-shirt?
  • + 35
 Looked like boxers... Dude is riding with style!
  • + 148
 Having a blast not giving a dam.
  • + 13
 They're hip now - along with button up shirts with small repeating patterns on it. You must do it up to the last button.
  • + 108
 He's out shredding...what are you doing?
  • + 56
 He's straight out of Australia for sure. Works as a chippy, buys a DH bike because of his mates and then goes to Whistler. Guru
  • + 23
 i'd put my house on it, that he's an Aussie
  • + 51
 Hahaha! He's one of my mates, not even lying, grew up with him! Photo made me smile for sure.
  • + 7
 Whistler hipster

 Props for the rad t-shirt and not giving a damn though

  • + 1
 @ehvahn:
only the best rentals in town buddy! Whistler Village Sports is where it's at!
  • + 4
 Some of us only noticed the bike! But seriously who cares what he is wearing to ride? At least he's out there having fun. Its all the others who are the suckers for buying stuff they don't really need, just to fit in with the latest trends. (I'm old enough to remember when our community mostly wore lycra)
  • + 1
 I've been riding 11 years, and never worn lycra....
  • + 5
 @Waldon83: Yeah, you have to go back further than that! (more like 20 years) Its what most of the mountain bikers wore until Palmer came along.
  • + 14
 @RedBurn: Whistler Hipster = Whipster
  • + 1
 Got Australia all over it haha
  • + 0
 SLoe joey with a coupkde nice \\\\\CASEs
  • + 2
 Who gives a shit!
  • + 1
 @Waldon83: noob lol
  • + 1
 @djm35: Actually, we all wore Ben Davis shorts before Mini Shred came along, but you're right about Palmer's descendants - he broke that shit open for them.
  • + 1
 holy fashion police
  • + 1
 @RedBurn: Whipster? oops too late
  • + 1
 @RedBurn: a....
...Whipster?

 @Waldon83:

try 18, we did...
  • + 1
 just bikeparky things
  • + 43
 Zerodes are the tits.
  • + 8
 Do people say that because they're a new brand and it's slightly hipster to say they're cool, or because they actually think they look good? I really don't see the appeal in them my self.
  • + 4
 @Jack-McLovin: I think they look awesome, and I love the fact there's no derailleur to snap off.
Plus it rides so f*cking well. Corners like nothing I've ever ridden and plows through the rough stuff like a damn monster truck.
They're heavy though, a build with Fox dhx2/40s, and all alu components can easily get you to 43lbs.
  • + 0
 I was gonna say, they post a picture of that wild contraption and say less about it than any other picture...
  • + 6
 People like them because they have gearboxes, which according to pinkbike fans is the final frontier.
  • + 35
 Holy hell so many Maidens! Well done rocky
  • + 15
 im a big fan of maidens if yknow what i mean
  • + 0
 @jaycubzz aluminium frame?
  • + 11
 @torero: no iron
  • + 32
 I hate every single one of those people. Gaaaaah I wanna go to Whistleeeer...
  • + 17
 i hate to say it but that all black canyon is a pretty sexy bike !!!
  • + 12
 "Katie Holden can't ride her bike so she decided to try and ride Tippie." A caption like that really needs it's photo to provide some context as to what's going on
  • + 14
 I envy this guy with his girlfriend so much right now
  • + 12
 Having a girlfriend and shredding whistler with her. I'm checking none of these points right now. Damn awesome!
  • + 1
 I'm checking one of those boxes but she won't ride... no matter how much I try to convince her to come ride DH with me she always says "but babe I don't have a death wish"
  • + 6
 Be careful what you wish for. Having a gf that rides is mostly cool, but is sometimes a pain. "Wait up for me" one day followed by "why are you waiting for me?" the next. "Take my picture here" followed by "why are you taking my picture here?!" "You need to encourage me to push myself and try harder things" followed by "why the hell did you take me down this awful trail?!" and so on....
  • + 1
 @pdxkid: looks like a personal experience ? Big Grin i still would like to try
  • + 13
 What? No hardtails?
  • + 41
 They were probably being ridden, no time for posing.
  • + 10
 Jackson with prototype shoes?
  • + 9
 I was gonna guess suspension
  • + 3
 Is it the frame
  • + 14
 Probably the canvas in the background
  • + 1
 Can you guys not see that prototype patio he's standing on?
  • + 1
 it's the pedals
  • + 1
 @S-nicholas: nah fam, it was the air surrounding him.
  • + 1
 @NoahGdoesmtb3655: Unfortunately I have never been to Whistler so I have never experienced that air
  • + 8
 I say, double entendres running wild in the TIppe captions!
  • + 2
 Dirty, Dirty PB photo epics
  • + 4
 I'm always baffled with these photo epic things as to how people afford all these expensive bikes, equipment and still can afford to go to whistler! I gave up dreaming long ago about owning bikes like these and going on trips to whistler, don't understand how it's possible. 25 years mountain biking and the only biking I have done outside my home is 1 day at Mammoth Mountain on a normal holiday. My life sucks! Whine over..
  • + 2
 Most of them probably don't have kids so it's pretty easy to afford.
  • + 4
 Its called no kids, getting ur shit straight right out of high school and getting a kick ass job befor u hit 30...One that awards 3 weeks holidays to start as well as banked overtime to use as paid time off..That's how u get to whistler on crazy expensive rides..
  • + 5
 I hope you can figure out how to spend more time in the mountains. They'll be there forever but we won't.
  • + 2
 many of them live close by, are on working holiday visas and just save up everything they have and prioritize differently than you.
  • + 2
 I bought my 2014 Norco Aurum LE that cost $7000 brand new for $2200 last fall off Pinkbike.
  • + 8
 I didn't see a demo 8, but I did see some shorts.
  • + 7
 Everyone looks so happy. I envy that.
  • + 2
 For sure! Opening day is always a giant success
  • + 6
 I was most excited to see someone rocking an old specialized big hit.
  • + 1
 So I mostly ride trails around the Phoenix AZ area, but this coming weekend I am going to hit up Sunrise Bike Park as well as one in Durango CO. These are my first visits to any bike park and I was wondering if the community could give me some feedback as to which style of helmet is suggested? I don't think I'll be doing any huge jumps, but that isn't to say I won't be doing any any jumps...

Do full face helmets greatly reduce ones peripheral vision? I was looking at something like a Giro HEX vs. going Full Face... Although, after looking at all of these photos, everyone has Full Face helmet it appears...

Thoughts, anyone...?

Thanks in advance...
  • + 3
 @HkUSPGTR Get the best full face helmet you can afford. You only have one head...protect it the best you can.
  • + 4
 Where are the line up of rollerblades though? Bikes......pfffft
  • + 5
 Not a single v10...
  • + 1
 Or M16....... Velominatti going after VPP with a vengeance, eh?
  • + 3
 Well he looks fake and photo shopped more then big or small
  • + 1
 Just look at the lid. Methinks this will answer all scale conundrums.
  • + 1
 I think he's quite short and he's also holding the bike at arms length. Those Fox helmets are also on the large side. When he wears it in slopestyle comps it always looks oversized to me.
  • + 3
 That is Lina murphy skoglund from Sweden on the blue Zerode
  • + 3
 I like such post more than those bike check of prof...
  • + 3

 Rob Dunnet on a Polygon? Wasn't he with Banshee?
  • + 3
 Rob here: I have not been working with Banshee for a while now. They are still making great product and I keep in touch with the guys there. For the past couple of years, I have been doing contract work for Polygon and a couple of different companies and riding bikes.
  • + 2
 @home-team: You don't ride bikes.
  • + 2
 @home-team: Aah... Never expected a reply from you personally. It's one of the awesome things about Banshee that's always blown me away - The guys are willing to speak to us about any concerns we may have (even when they're no longer with the company). Thanks for that and I wish you the best with your future projects.
  • + 3
 @brianclaw: Banshee is truly one of the few companies out there that communicate directly with their customer base and their customers stay loyal to them for that. I have tried to bring that quality with me to the companies I work with now and I think it has paid off. I owe my start in the bike industry to Banshee and have stayed close with them over the years. Thanks for the kind wishes ...
