Jan 28, 2023Fox Float DPS Performance
$200 USDFox DPS Performance, 190x45. New take off from my 2022 Rocky Mountain Element. When the bike shop was removing the Rocky-specific bearing eyelet they scratched the stanchion, so it was sent back to Fox for a new stanchion and rebuild. So, it’s new new ha.

Tech Week 2023: Clever Cockpits - An Adjustable-Width Bar & Dual-Diameter Stem
These bars would be great for growing kids and teenagers. I could see this being applicable to a range of smaller sized bikes as well. As a parent, I’m all about it.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Ride At Night?
My average ride is 0600-0700 during the week. Start in the dark, finish just as it’s getting light. It’s an awesome way to start the day. Downside: clearing all the overnight spider webs!

Jun 12, 2022Intense Recluse Large
$2500 USDSelling my Large Intense Recluse before moving from Hawaii to the flat lands of Eastern Virginia. Most everything on the bike is upgraded at this point, and I’ve made it a bit more capable via a -1 degree angle set. This is such a great bike for the tight, steep trails in Hawaii. I’d imagine anywhere with the same terrain would suit it very well.
Bike is in excellent working condition. Has some paint chips and blemishes, but much of the frame has been taped since day 1, and I put the Rockguardz down tube protector on there day 1 as well. I did lowers service on the fork and air can service on shock within the last 50 miles, bearings recently replaced, new tires, and drive trail is new, so this bike is ready to ride and will require zero service prior to riding.
Components list:
-Rockshox Pike RC with 160mm DebonAir air spring. Will include the 150mm DebonAir air spring as well.
-Wolf Tooth Components -1 degree angle headset. Brings HTA to about 64.8 degrees.
-DVO Topaz rear shock. Has RWC needle bearing kit installed in lower shock bushing, helping with small bump compliance.
-Spank Oozy 350 rims on Hope Pro 4 hubs. 27.5”
-Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5 front and rear. Rear tire is brand new.
-Shimano XT brakes
-Shimano XT 1x11 derailleur (brand new) and cassette.
-Race Face Turbine cranks, 175mm
-Race Face 32t Steel chain ring.
-OneUp chain guide
-One Up Components 180mm dropper post
-Wolf Tooth Components dropper lever
-Spank Spike Vibracore handlebar, 780mm
-Thomson 50mm stem
-WTB Silverado seat
-Ergon GE1 grips
-Fidlock 450ml water bottle
-Rockguardz down tube protector

Video: The Parallels Between MTB and Free Diving in 'Les Deux Extremes'
Huge props, that was super cool. As a free diver/spearo my initial reaction before watching this is that there isn’t much in common between mtb and free diving. I really enjoyed the comparison between terrain and movement, what a cool way to highlight both.
