Hey man, just because you don't have the skills to complete the course doesn't give you a reason to hate on it.

tryed to talk to someone at my local mall, said it would leave to many scuff marks. I would scrap them all off myself if they'd do one, id even be tempted to get some people to make it happen.

I wish my mall was big enough to do that in. I would just do it for fun and out run the rent-a-cops

 haha wtf is a "rent-a-cop"???
  • 18 1
Simply put it is literally a rented cop, but unimportant mall security guards are commonly referred to as "rent-a-cops." They think the have the power of a real cop though and usually take their job way too seriously, and are commonly disrespected by everyone around. Low wages and horrible hours make this job ideal to the fat and lazy.
  • 7 1
Mall Cop FTW... everyone was thinking it...
  • 6 5
 why so much hate?
  • 4 0
mall cops are in a league of there own
  • 3 0
How do I become a rentacop, sounds like a sweet gig! :oP
  • 2 0
Can you rent-a-cop to dance for you?...in little blue pants...?
  • 1 0
i'm sure you could. they'll do anything to be "important." thats why they're mall cops in the first place.
  • 22 0
why dont they do this in the USA? We got some massive friggin malls in this country.
  • 7 0
Liability, insurance costs and I bet all the store owners would bitch about it pretty hard because people seem to love to do that towards bikes here... Frown

Imagine seeing one at the Mall of America though?? That'd be so insane.
  • 8 0
Yeah man, we're a country run by sue-happy and terrified-of-being-sued, overweight bike-haters. I would kill to be a part of an event like this, but it'd never happen in the states.
  • 4 1
Oh PLEASE Smile Not even you believe what you're saying. You also have Vegas, where a "down-mall" might only get rejected for actually not being crazy enough, and you have (for example) Red Bull, who are keen on supporting events that have 1/100th of the brand promotion potential of a downhill race in a shopping mall. I remind that these are the people who don't hesitate to invest into a freeride event in a desert in Utah. A thing like that couldn't land on more fertile soil. All it takes is for some energetic mind to pick up the idea, look for the right place and then just do it. Once it's demonstrated than under proper management, nothing gets broken and nobody dies nor gets sued, these could be popping up everywhere.

Zire, there's a difference between BLM land and a shopping mall. It may seem like we're kidding but you're forgetting that in this country people have sued for spilling coffee on themselves, robbers suing homeowners because they got injured while breaking into houses and this... americaswatchtower.com/2010/11/26/new-hampshire-man-jailed-for-defending-his-property

That last one irks me a ton because I'm from NH and we own a gravel pit so trespassing is taken VERY seriously.

Sorry if that was a bit serious but the U.S. is so ass backwards that it's infuriating. Smile
  • 2 0
Zire I wish it were so but Nkevin is right on the money. We have more lawyers per capita than doctors, which should tell you something...
  • 2 1
 Americans are bitches. Simply put.
  • 3 0
^^ correction. Conservative Americans are bitches. They are the ones that ruin all the fun and F with the rest of the world. We're not all bad.
  • 1 0
Still, your nation is enormous and there's hundreds upon hundreds of malls to consider. There *will* be one manager that won't have his head up his ass, lawsuits or not. And not even your legal system could harm him if he'd make the participants (and organizers) sign a document proclaiming that their health, and whatever (and whomever) they damage, is their sole responsiblity. It IS possible, period. Smile
  • 19 2
You can't over shoot that drop, oh else your fucked
  • 36 2
But apparently you can double whip it...
  • 3 0
 Can't over or under shoot!
  • 1 0
Actually guys have either under-shot (took the edge of the landing, then head straight to the ground, didn't look too good but he's ok), and over-shot it..they've somehow managed to survive, but I sure wouldn't like to try Big Grin

nice to see the drop that cracked another glory......

Edmonton Mall would be perfect for this event...
  • 13 0
Start in the theatre, down the stairs, gap Booster Juice to the pirate ship, step up to the bridge, continue on to a drop down into Bourbon Street, sprint to Galaxy Land (too many obstacles / lines to hit up in there to list), double back and head to the water park ending with a massive kicker into the wave pool!
  • 5 0
Wow. What a mall you have there.
  • 1 0
and then it ends to a drop in the swimming pool. edmonton mall would be perfect!
  • 1 0
you can't forget a jump into the ice palace and gapping the whale! Joel, this mall is amazing. Google "west edmonton mall"

  • 7 0

  • 1 0
"Way Downtown" Enduro through the +15 in Calgary! Start at the Bay, through to Bankers Hall, up and back across into TD, north to James Short and a loop through Bow Valley Square, back to TD, through Holt Renfrew, past the cows in Centennial Parkade, finish up on the far side of Husky. Afterparty at Commonwealth! Big Grin

Ever since I first heard about this a few years back I have always wanted one of the malls in my area to do this. Its to bad that it will never happen in Ca. Frown
  • 2 4
And the reason it wont happen is because of all the f*ckin liberals in this state/country. Did you hear they just outlawed footballs and frisbees on the beaches in one county. Ridiculous.

Limeridge Mall in Hamilton would be good for that. Not enough stoners in the food court though for obstacles.
