@somebikeguy: totally agree. Time to get real. 1000 dollars for a crankset. You can say yes It looks sexy and am rich and I will buy it, but as an investment is of course a stupid one. tech stuff are never an investment.

Solving the Dropper Post Dilemma
I' ve tested the eightpins post. Its on another level. Its dropper post 2.0. The ease of actuation (easily with one finger), refinement, and sheer travel. I wish it could be an option in every bike.

I am happy e-bikes are in existence. Will i buy one? No! But they give the chance to the less fit/disabled folk to enjoy nature. For that alone am glad and i don't understand why the hate.

the article has a point, loved the insight but think its failing to adress a single aspect. At 5ft 10 in a normal case would choose the medium sized bike. Going with the size large the rider is unconsciously going with the new school geos. The large bike is longer. I personally like the longer reach bikes because you can run a steeper seatangle which helps with climbing while having a descently long front end
