@pooceq: so I just looked it up. And at launch of micros pline it was only available as a upgrade for 240s and 350, and some OEM hubs. but dt swiss was not allowed to sell new hubs with micros pline. I guess in the end both sides had a agreement, but what I know for sure that when the ratchet exp was launch was marketed as a microspline. It was all over on internet.

The ratchet exp was released as a "new" hub when shimano released the microspline, so it was not available on the old dt ratchet system, so if you wanted the new microspline you had to buy new hubs . And on the launch day of the microspline it was almost no option to buy hubs. They had to come with something to make the "new" ratchet exp better, by making the lock ring red and one less spring, you know like apple less is better and of course more expensive. They're hubs are so good that you don't need to replace them. I have the old 240s with 54 ratchet and i don't think i will need to change it ever.

I just want to leave my two cents regarding Discovery Plus experience. So i just recently found out that GCN is no longer broadcasting the mtb world cup. I made a Discovery Plus account without ads that its 6€/ month. After i made the account i went to the tv and i could not find the app on a new Samsung TV. I have to say that i live in Austria and i don't have a TV plan because i don't watch tv so i don't have Eurosport. I don't know why the app its not available on the Samsung app store, but on the mobile phone and pc it is. So after all of this i had to mirror my phone screen with the tv and it works perfectly just that you can't use your phone during the cast. All its fine till now. Because it was in Brasil and i did not had time to watch live, i watched it in the evening as a replay. The XCC on Saturday you could had chosen multiple Language, but on Sunday replay it was only German. At least the interviews where not translated only after, so you can here the riders perspective especially Jenny Rissveds . I can live with all this, but the cherry on cake is that i payed without ads, and every 10 min i was bombarded with ads, i don't know if this its only on replay and not on live version. But that's why i payed 2€ more

I think that scott did the cable routing like this, so they could "hide" they're extra cables from switch lock. Imagine all those 5 cables if you opt for the cheap version (not AXS)
