Carlson and Morrison Battle the Wicklow EWS – Video

With Mckay Vezina out nursing a separated shoulder following a recent crash, the Giant Factory Off-Road Team had a small squad for the fourth round of the Enduro World Series in Ireland. Josh Carlson and Rae Morrison gave it their all on the rocky, rooty and rut-filled tracks of Wicklow. The crowds always turn out for the Emerald Enduro, and this year was no different.

Josh, who started his EWS season late, found some consistency to finish the grueling six-stage race in 21st place. And Rae ended up 11th on her Liv Hail Advanced, moving up to 8th overall in the pro women’s rankings. Here’s our behind-the-scenes look at round four from Ireland.

the fastest on a Giant was Noga Korem :-) and she is not even sponsored.....

I'm surprised that she isn't sponsored yet. Such a talented rider. Racing on your own dime is pricey. I think it's only a matter of time before she's picked up.

God I love the crunchy sounds when the rubber hits the dirt., hubs clicking away, and the sweet second of silence just before the bike hits the ground after a drop....it's almost like you can taste it.

I was riding the other day in my half shell lid and goggles, and had my trusty fanny pack with me...but it felt like I was missing something..."EnduroPants"!

What is Carlsson riding? Doesn't quite look like a Trance or a Reign, does it?
  • 1 0
It's either the new Reign or a very close to completion mule.

@Clarkeh: I'd wager it's the new reign. Previous pics have it sporting the same sorta carbon rocker link as the new trance with quite a different looking shape to the current Reign rocker, and a trunnion mount shock.
