FYI the logo in question was given to us by a local business who assured is that it was different than MCBP. Long story short the logo is not different and MCBP has already contacted us for those of you that are so quick to run and tell on us "cough"konarider. We have already quit using the logo. This press release was done by a friend that was not aware of the logo issue, that is why the logo is still in this article. Notice that the flyer does not use the logo. Just to clear things up for the copyright infringement connoisseurs out there.

As if running a grassroots bike park doesn't have enough challenges without a logo scandal fueled by a rider 2 times zones away. Hopefully that just blows over and you guys can shred on. Good luck with the event and the park in general.

I mean I grew up at that bike park, why wouldn't I want to help them if someone was stealing their logo? Also, you really thought there was a difference between that logo and MCBP logo? As someone who has ALSO organized multiple grassroots events, it's pretty hard to f*ck that one up. As you said, you were aware that it was similar to the MCBP logo, "...who assured is that it was different than MCBP". So if you compared both of them, you clearly knew that the logos were the same yet resumed with the press release without making any changes. Seems weird to me. "cough"

Guys, relax. I was not aware of the issues with the logo when I typed this up and I pulled the jpg image file from the info that they sent me last year. It's the authors fault/my fault. Unfortunately, once the article is published I am not able to edit/make changes. Sorry Jay and Mike for sturring this up.

I came here to enjoy bike stuff not to read about people complain about logos! You can have a playboy logo for all I care, if your park is the bomb, I'm all about it!

Wow....konarider112 is a dirtbag. It's a logo at a small time local park.....who really cares. Obviously a fanboy who feels the need to be important, when in reality, they really aren't. And what did you get from MCBP? A pat on that back? Aren't you special, you got a pat on the back...or not, you probably didn't even get that, lol.

@konarider112. You're an a*shole and a rat. Get a life. I'm not going to go off and explain this situation and how the guys at Hilltop got ripped off, but I love how you're so quick to go try and f*ck up a great thing that some grass root guys are trying to get started.

Awesome east coast event and all the talk is about a logo that no one even notices.... Way to push the sport guys

Hilltop is sick, raced there this spring. Definitely worth the trip!

Tried checking out their webpage but it didn't show much. How does this place compare to Snowshoe?
  • 4 0
Its not quite as large square mile wise. Especially since I doubt its even an entire square mile. But it is awesome! For a small time bike park on the east coast it is one of the most fun I've ever had on my bike. Just a single day of riding pushed my jumping skills so much further. The people there made it even better. And then race day came and it was even more fun. Their slalom track is top notch for sure and their jump lines are huge!
