The Alternative 12-Speed Drivetrain? - Taipei Cycle Show
@LiquidSpin: I knew what you were getting at. Needed to be explained for the simpletons. When I went 1x10 I went 32/11-36 on a 6" AM bike and a 29er. I fell off in recent years and can recall a time when I was both fitter and stupider to run such gearing. I look forward to 11-46 11spd on the next bike. Ring pairing has yet to be determined. I've been running tiny 28/10-42 on the 29er for a few years now. Next XC bike I do up will likely run close range 2x11 Di2. Cheers.

10 Kooky and Cool Finds - Taipei Cycle Show
@mikelevy: Let's hear more about these long travel 29er DH forks on the Horizon! Was disappointed to read the DVO article and find it 275+ compatible but not 29er compatible. There appears to be three LT 29er forks available for purchase currently and the Dorado has been available for years

Alex Rims, Shimano's E-Bike Motor, Miranda XMOD Crankset - Taipei Cycle Show
Yeah it's sorta messed up. Could Shimano slide a gearbox in there later on. Who knows?

Does It Matter Where Your Bike Was Built? - Pinkbike Poll
@agustinv: I'm moving away from Asian made plastic frames. North American/Mainstream bicycle industry is boring and predictable as shit. "We really went out on a limb to source this frame from the same factory as our closest six competitors; producing a frame that has almost the same 'game changing' geo numbers as the model dropped by one of them over two seasons ago. Really groundbreaking stuff happening at 'North American BroCycle Company.'" But I digress; I'm awaiting a German built FS frame, and once I tire of my road bike I'll be looking at a Naked or another Dekerf.

I'm curious to know how much frame welding in large factories is or isn't done by a machine?

Orange and Nicolai. There's some weird Spanish company doing carbon frames in You-Rope as well. Unsure about Devinci now. Last I heard only their high end FS alloy frames and the CS on the carbon frames were done in Quebec. RM and Norco moved
