Juin's 6 Piston Semi-Hydraulic Brakes - Taipei Cycle Show 2024
At $425 it would be hard to pick that over a conventional hydraulic system. If it was dirt cheap it would be fun to try but that’s getting into Dominion pricing.

First Look: Giant Updates the Entry-Level Full-Suspension Stance
This may be an unpopular opinion but I with they would make entry level bikes slightly more expensive and put a rear shock on there that you can get parts for readily. Working at a suspension shop it gets frustrating for techs and clients when they come with stuff like Suntour or X Fusion because it’s not always easy to get parts for them when they inevitably detonate. Making the bike $100 more and putting an entry level DPS or Deluxe gives the end user a chance that parts are in stock or at least available.

Value Field Test: Vitus Mythique 29 AMP
Tune the air spring (+ appropriate rebound) and then worry about damper support. I’ve seen a lot of forks that ride decent with a well tuned air spring and 0 compression dialed in. Spring is the place to start, especially on lower tier stuff. But I do imagine they are trying to review it as it showed up. Not sure if volume adjustment is allowed in these tests.

Pinkbike Poll: How Many Volume Spacers Do You Run?
As someone who works in a bespoke suspension only rebuild/tune shop it’s a bit of a silly question in general though I agree with what most of the article says. They are a tuning tool. It really doesn’t matter what you or I claim to run. We weight differently we ride differently and we have a different idea of what a fork should feel like. In my opinion if you don’t want to throw a Vorsprung Seccus at your fork then the best thing you can do in my opinion is a DSD Runt. Infinite adjustability to your air spring if you don’t wanna run EXT or the Dorado.

Pretty cool that it’s similar price to a Dorito, 3/4lb lighter and hand made.

Pinkbike Poll: How Often Do You Replace Your Frame, Headset, & Bottom Bracket Bearings?
The bearings themselves are fully serviceable on all king stuff. So you can keep them in service almost indefinitely if you’re willing to open the bearings up and clean and lube them from time to time.

Pinkbike Poll: How Often Do You Replace Your Frame, Headset, & Bottom Bracket Bearings?
Yep, I run king stuff as well and the bearings are fully serviceable. I do it every year just cause I’m a tinkerer but definitely not absolutely necessary

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 153 - Headset Cable Routing is... Good?
@mikekazimer: Hey so is that evolution of Scott’s new lockout similar to what cannondale attempted with those Gemini shocks a few years ago? Those were not reliable but a pretty cool concept.
