Seems like you could put the pedal lever somewhere down near the shock and avoid another lever and associated cable on the bars.

Spotted: Scott Prototype Carbon DH Bike - Crankworx Rotorua 2019
the operator's pivot is on the seatstay. Session jokes notwithstanding, we're clearly settling on about 4 different suspension designs and everything is just a variation on one of these: 1) Horst Link (like this one) 2) dual short links (like DW link) 3) VPPs like Santa Cruz and the like and 4) single pivots (which include the Session, Operator etc.) often with some sort of linkage activating the shock.
