@rideordie35: A top-spec bike costing two or three times the price of a value bike isn't the industry gaslighting you. It's very reasonable.
The existence of things you can't afford isn't a problem the market needs to fix.

A Bugatti costs 1.7 million dollars. This does not affect my ability to buy a Tacoma.
There is nothing inherently wrong with items that do not fit in my budget.

Small Focus Cayo Disc, Full Dura Ace, w/ power meter
$2750 USDI got this frame last year to replace the cracked frame on my race bike. All the dura ace components are from the previous bike, so they are about 4 years older than the 1 year old frame. I don't race on the road anymore, so I went with the Cayo which is designed to be an endurance bike. It's comfortable and reliable, but also very light and fast. I have 28mm tires on there now, which are great on dirt roads. There is room to go with wider tires if you want to.
