True, this is Jamaica. But Jamaica is so much more than this… After travelling excessively for the last 20 years I've made it half way into the TCC, the Travellers' Century Club. 54 countries to be exact. And still I'm sometimes catching myself judging the book by its cover. Jamaica is the perfect example. Just give me three words you instantly connect with the Caribbean island and you'll see what I mean…
People have made it hard for us too, there isn't a single (bike) video out there without reggae, the flag will always remind us of Bob Marley and the only thing we know about the blue mountains is that they produce some fine coffee.
I'm sorry for not using Reggae in my video, I want you to open your eyes to more than the three words you connect with Jamaica. Endless singletrack through tropical rainforest, people who overcome huge obstacles to live their dream, inspirational BMX teachers and trail builders.
Jamaica is one awesome place to ride.
Everyday I'm shuttlin', wild but working. Shuttles 25 bikes in one go… A girl. On a bike. Incredible! A Blue Mountain day is a good dayIt's Jerk chicken time, any time. Bikes, nature and a puppy, couldn't be happier. Accommodation Robinson Crusoe styleBob Marley was here. And U2 of course… Countless moments of music history.Strawberry Hills. Maybe the most beautiful view over JamaicaSummit to the sea in 3, 2, 1 … Oracabessa Foundation BMX Track

Blue usually goes a few days around the farm. Thankfully coffee only retains its truest flavor for about one week. I should seriously grow some organic coffee. Grace Hightower is amazing but not exactly cheap.
I've been to Jamaica. Lots of nice people. Lots of not so nice people. That shit will disappear the second you took your eyes off it.
Yah mon, bless up.
I do worry about shipping my $$ride$$ thru Kingston though - my luggage was tief'ed at the airport last trip - big problem.
I highly advise anyone here to sign up early for the 2016 edition of the fest as it is probably sold out this year as it has been for the last 4 years shortly after registration opens up
Mike is the owner of White Sands.......funny I won a weeks free stay in 2002 for coming in 2nd place in the XC Nationals and used the winnings the next year and stayed at a cabin there on the 7 mile beach
