Have you ever been tempted to give up everything you have to start a new life some place new? That’s what Rob J did in 2002 at the start of a journey that would see him become a professional mountain biker. In this video, he goes back to his roots to rediscover the country that launched his career: South Africa.

Just in case you're bored of stories and people talking skip, to 2:44min where the real riding starts. I know, I know, how could I even try to trick you watching a video with interviews and stuff. Wink

Great video and a nice story! Always nice to see our trails shown to the world.

They look incredible how big is your network?
  • + 5
It's huge, there's XC trails all over the vineyards that connect to each other and great gravity trails within the National Parks (some of them might be closed now due to the heavy fires they had end of summer)...

We have a huge network in the Cape Town area!. We host a 10 day singletrack holiday, where we ride on a different trail network every day and we hardly ride the same trail twice

@infinitetrails you know Sebastian I've said it before but will say it again. There's so much marketing about places to travel to bike that it's difficult to find the nuggets. But you seem to be able to truly present the reality while showcasing the trails.

Thanks for consistent excellent quality and for inspiration for another place to travel to ride bikes and write features

as soon as I pressed Play I had a feeling that the film was done by @infinitetrails and glad i was correct. Otherwise, it would've a been complete rip off of your cinematography style.

great film, i'm a fan!

I rode Cape Town with Duran Duran and he introduced me to Karl and his mates last year! Simply put I had a blast and they are all top lads! Plenty of good times to be had down south no doubt.
