Pole Bicycles Has Filed for Bankruptcy
@jaydubmah: The dude was an arrogant cockwomble, but I thought his bikes were cool. So cool, that I tried to buy one - a stamina 140. I got strung along like many others on that for a long time before they refunded some of my money. No matter how cool I think his bikes are, I won’t be sending him any money. Oh and anyone that mentioned anything critical on the fb group got banned, despite lots of good constructive criticism and learning that came from the unsuspecting prototype testers (customers).

First Ride: Revel Rascal V2
Love it. Especially happy for the XXL frame size! Previous owner of a Ranger XL and eventually sold it. Loved that bike, but wished it was a tiny bit bigger, and had more support from the rear suspension (very high spring rate reqd for my fat ass, so a me problem rather than the bike). Very much a fan of what Revel are doing.

Velo Digest: New Hour Record, Continuous Lactate Monitors, ’90s Stumpjumper Transformed, & Matt Beers Joins Specialized
I’ll be sad to see them go if they do. I’ve got an old road bike (20+yrs) all campag. It just works and continues to work. Shift quality is consistently great. It has turned me into a bit of a fan. The old adage I used to hear was; Campag wears in, everything else wears out. If I was to build a road bike from scratch, it would have a record groupset. (Though I’d probably need a lottery win).

Results: Little Sugar MTB Race
Watching on one of the climbs was pretty cool at Angus Chute/Ozone trails intersection. The two front runners taking different lines and absolutely flying up the climb. Fantastic.

Head to Head Review: 2023 RockShox Zeb vs Fox 38
Just sitting here waiting patiently for the next coil Totem and Fox 40 SC… In all seriousness, I have been looking for a 170mm single crown fork and ended up with a Zeb Ultimate based on reviews stating it was slightly more supple and better mid stroke support. To read the opposite here is making me wonder if I picked the wrong fork. Also a massive manitou fan, so was considering Mezzers, but put off by reviews stating set up was particularly difficult. I guess I’ll see how they ride and may have to reach out to suspension experts for additional tuning or setup help. Not too worried though. Not sure you can go far wrong with modern high end mtb forks regardless of brand (here’s hoping!!)

Video: 'Pink It & Shrink It' - Why Don't More Brands Make Women's Specific Bikes?
Thanks for sharing this thought! My wife has wrist pains and sometimes her grip isn’t great. She is relatively new to mtbing and has made some comments on preferences on brakes. We’re inspired to go shopping now for some powerful and more adjustable levers for her - like someone else mentioned maybe Hopes are the way to go.

Opinion: Why Weight Doesn't Matter
The biggest weight saving I’d notice is losing my beer belly. I agree with the sentiment that I’d rather have my bike be a little more robust at the cost of it bring a little heavier. As a fatty, I’m unlikely to notice any additional climbing performance from lightweight components, but will likely notice any compromised durability. But that’s just me. I can also appreciate the lust for fancy parts too. I am also a tart and do love anything shiney and purple.
