 Rampage needs to have these drone follow cam shots

 No they don't. It works really well for freestyle focused events where they are doing things of tricks but it just makes anything steep look like a flat trail. Snowboarding had natural selection this winter which used drone filming and it was perfect for one venue but when they went to Alaska the drones don't do it any justice.

 @jcougs: it all depends on the setting of the drone tbh, as a veteran MTB rider and an amateur FPV pilot myself I do know a thing or two about how to do shots (both camera ones and alcohol ones lol). FPV quads almost always have fixed camera angle and that angle is the key factor of determine how things look like when doing shots, the more camera tilt (or "slacker" in MTB language) the faster you will have to go to make things look level, this works well on freestyle events where riders go fast on relatively flat area but will kill the steepness of hills because the drone won't accelerate that much faster when diving vertically, while if you fly less camera tilt (steeper in MTB language) it'll do the opposite.

My personal pick for Rampage would be having a less tilt pilot or a Mavic pilot up top to film most of the tech sections, another more tilt pilot to film the freestyle section at the bottom, and another "general" pilot that does follow cam for the entire run, probably gonna cost Redbull some money but this will work way better then fixed cameras far far away from riders.

 Fairclough, Isted, Pilgrim and Reynolds all had some great highlights on their channels. My favorite was probably Pilgrim doing tricks on request on his ebike.

 At first I was like damn, Rogatkin's run only got him 9th place? Then I'm like, waaaait a second. Everyone got 9th place.

 Rogatkin's run to me was the smoothest I've ever seen from him. Dude's tricks have always blown me away but man I thought his run this time successfully melded his insane tricks with some awesomely smooth style.
