There actually was a level increase on the day due to covid (and a post telling spectators to stay away...)
  • 1 0
@rrsport: Yea they were 'discouraged' but cap wasn't turning them away, a lot of the spectators were from the group 1 race though.

was split up into two groups

Open men/ women etc raced in morning

Elite in late arvo

That's gnarly, I'm amazed some racers opted for their enduro bikes.
  • 1 0
Most riders here just have trail bikes trails as their do it all bike, but if they keep building new gnarly tracks this way. then i expect to see more DH rigs on the chair lift
  • 1 1
George Brannigan still not using the new frame
  • 9 12
A whole DH track and four minutes of just ONE section?? Wellllll.......
  • 3 4
 exactly..... Frown ((
  • 6 1
to be fair its pretty bloody hot you can't blame them for just camping out at the rock garden
  • 3 0
Yeaaaaa the track is fairly short, wish I got a few more angles from elsewhere, but it was probably the gnarliest section. I only got to the race at the end of the day for this footage so yup ha. I went riding in the morning before the race lol!
  • 1 0
@browner: there was two rock garden sections b2b one into another, but i did spent most of the time at the bottom cause it was gnar haha
  • 9 0
No one owes you anything pal. You're just sitting at a keyboard on your ahhhzzz.
  • 2 0
the two rock gardens was where all the action was: crashes, punctures, smashed rims. rest of the track is open and flowing with a handful of easy drops and jumps.
  • 1 1
@madpete: that explains it. I thought the footage was a bit lame and repetitive as well given this was the national champs.
  • 3 0
@notphaedrus: It was just a dude filming for pleasure, not official commercial coverage. Lighten up! ;-)
