Windhill has now set up a fundraiser to help replace the damage caused by the attack (original story below). They have set the initial target at £20,000 but it seems like they are expecting an insurance payout to cover some of the costs so will be donating any further money to Air Ambulance services in the local area.

Windhill Bike Park has today posted devastating photos of an arson attack on their trails.
Windhill has only been open a few years but has already picked up a reputation as one of the most progressive and fun bike parks in the UK. Unfortunately, the bike park posted the devastating news that it has been hit by a suspected arson attack on social media
earlier today. The start ramp and Cabin have been totally burned down and trees have had to be felled, causing tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage. Thankfully emergency services arrived at the scene quickly and were able to stop the damage spreading further.
Windhill have asked riders to keep coming to the park and "keep smiling and whooping your way down the trails" and "fill the woods with the positive energy" while they future proof the park. The full statement from Windhill is below:
Our thoughts go out to the folks at B1ke and Windhill and we hope they are able to recover from the attack and get the centre back up and running at full capacity as soon as possible.
