Jamis Bikes Announces Lower Price Point Version of 3VO Carbon Suspension Bikes

Looking to close out a wild year on an encouraging note, the crew over here at Jamis Bikes will be shipping our latest full-suspension party bikes in December. Portal C4 and Hardline C4 models will bring the groundbreaking 3VO full-suspension platform to an all new carbon price-point of $4,199. "We’re definitely psyched to now offer a new model with our Dyad Pro carbon frame, the same frame that’s on our top-of-the-line C1 models at only a couple hundred bucks more than last year’s aluminum A1.” says Sal Crochiola, Jamis MTB Product Manager, "This Dyad Pro frame drops two and a half pounds off the aluminum A2 model. That’s a huge upgrade."

Standing for “Three Variable Optimized", 3VO is a clever dual-link suspension design patented by industry veteran Chris Currie and licensed to Jamis Bikes. The 3VO platform is unique in that it provides our product engineers the ability to fine-tune three variables (instant center, leverage ratio and axle path) independently of one another for specific, desired behavior. The result is a ride that combines unparalleled pedaling efficiency with proper, controlled support across the full range of compression.

Portal and Hardline harbor similar traits, just with slightly different attitudes. Portal is the ride-everything-anywhere trail bike, featuring 29” wheels, 130mm travel and Jamis’ neutral, Balanced Geometry. Hardline, the edgier sibling, has smaller 27.5” wheels, 160mm travel and slightly more aggressive Balanced Geometry.

The C4 models sit at a new 3VO carbon price-point for Jamis and feature Dyad Pro full high-modulus carbon fiber frames, threaded bottom-bracket shells, super-clean cable routing, water bottle mounts and integrated frame protection. The smart spec includes Fox Performance Series suspension, Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain, KS Rage dropper post and Stans Flow rims laced to Shimano hubs.

Jamis Bikes has taken pre-orders for Portal/Hardline C4 models along with the new A2 aluminum models and are set to ship to our network of authorized retailers in December.
