Pinkbike Poll: Which Foot Do You Ride With Forward?
Same here. I’m also VERY right handed and pretty much only use my right foot in any sport that involves kicking. Basically, the left side of my body is pretty useless haha. And I skated and snowboarded for years before mtb (didn’t start the later until my 30s), and I didn’t spend much time on a bike as a kid, but from the moment I hopped on a mtb as an adult, without giving any thought to it, right foot forward feels way more natural.

Pinkbike Poll: Which Foot Do You Ride With Forward?
Really interesting results. I’m right handed, and have a “regular” stance on a skateboard, so I assume that means I’m right foot dominant, but I feel most natural riding right foot forward on a bike (especially when jumping). And I definitely turn better to the right — I find it easier to weight the bike properly when my back foot is on the outside of the turn.

Video: Summit Bike Park Announces ‘Blue Steel’ Debut
@JSTootell: unfortunately, I think it’ll have the opposite effect. The vast majority of people coming off Blue Steel seemed to be heading down Westridge rather than heading under the bridge and connecting to Turtle (heck, heading under the bridge would probably just result in lower miracle getting even more clogged up). I guess I shouldn’t be complaining — the new trail is fun and good on summit for building it. It just seems like a TON of fairly new riders have been up there lately and it’s been really frustrating on trails like party wave/Westridge and miracle. Maybe some more mandatory features to act as squirrel catchers would solve the problem.

Video: Summit Bike Park Announces ‘Blue Steel’ Debut
@Austink: Exactly. I was there today. It was a complete cluster f*@k. The new trail merges with Party Wave right before Muscle Beach. Complete log jam. And Westridge after the bridge was full of people waaaayyyy over their heads. It was tough to get a clean run in before this, even on a weekday — it’s damn near impossible now. I don’t know what they were thinking designing this way.
