Are you the current champion? Have you ever been the champion? Well this is your year!

The time is now, you have one more week to kick yourself into shape, dust off the cob webs and make sure you are up to speed. Actually above speed. That's what it's going to take to become this years BC Champion!

Beg, borrow, steal (not recommended), do whatever it takes to get your bike ready and find a way to get to The Star.

The weather has been warm, the trails are dry and the race course is ready for all the thrashing you can throw at it. From listening to racer input from last summer there have been a few changes made to the course. No a fan of a few tight, jack-knife corners last year? Well now you can say "what jack-knife corners?". The lines have been opened up and loam is lingering so get here soon or else the loam will be gone and the racer "rut" will arise.

Changing light conditions is always a factor on this course.

The lines are changing, but the rocks have not moved!

Wide, multi-option lines are the theme to the changes.

New corners are now changing into pocket dust berms.

Some lines require commitment, this is one of them.

To become champion, giving a little blood is usually part of the game.

This may be a familiar sight during training.

See you at Silver Star for the BC Cup Championships next weekend.

The most notable changes are in the woods, the trail crew took the trail down hill in a few places speeding it up in a few much needed places. It flows much better now as you can carry more speed through the trees. It will be interesting how things look after saturday in there. The top rock garden had a few growlers removed making for a quicker entry and exit speeds. Its already gettin blown up with holes and random tire flatters becoming more obvious. Can't wait until race day!!!!

did they change the section before the road at the very top?

They shouldn't be making it smoother, taking out growlers, they should up the ante and put natural jumps in the rock garden.

The track is still just as gnarly, it just flows better now meaning more speed! I can't wait!

No changes to the upper rocks, the only changes is what nature and bike tires has transformed. The trees are running faster and with more flow. The "whip it" jump at the end of the course is also slightly different, a little less poppy than last year.

Hopefully the wind doesn't send people sailing off the whip jump at the end like it did last year. My arm got maaaaaaangled!
