In recent years there's been an emerging trend in using biking videos as commercials for companies even outside the industry, something that I see as a great way to bring more money into sports such as mountain biking and ultimately make it grow. This summer I was given the opportunity to make my first ever bike film that would serve as a marketing video for a non bike-related company. One of Sweden's largest project developers for residential areas and shopping centers wanted a film where a trials rider was to use one of their show houses in Stockholm as a playground. I was lucky enough to be selected as the man to make it happen, and although Danny MacAskill has set the standards quite high when it comes to trials videos, I think we managed to come through with a rather innovative peace of motion picture. The video is aimed at promoting one of the company's upcoming open house days, as well as showcasing that their estates are built to last and can be used in more creative ways than just every day living. It has definitely been a challenging project for me to make a video that is aimed at a slightly different audience than the average Pinkbike Joe and work towards such a large client, but hopefully it can inspire some of you guys to use your kitchen or bedroom as a riding spot when the dark and cold winter sets in.
