Central California Hansen Ranch DH

"This place has got major potential" is what we kept hearing all weekend from the competitors of last weekends race.
Hansen Ranch has in less than two months become one of the best local places to ride and race at. Bringing the scene to the Central California mountains. Less than 25 minutes up the hill from Fresno CA, this place is not only in an easy to get to location, it is also in a beautiful setting.
The Ranch features racelines as well as freeride lines and is in constant progression and growth.

Last weekend was the first DH race. Not too many people knew about it and so the race series began with about 30 racers. All of us know though, that with every race this number will atleast double. Saturday was shuttled practice for 6 hours. A $10 worth spending. Sunday was around 3 hours of shuttled practice before the race began at noon. Race day costs are between $20-25.
The raceformat was a two racerun format and times were between 1:30 and 2:30 for each run.

The next race will be memorial day weekend 26th-27th of May. Monday will be a freeride day. Camping is welcome and encouraged. So far there are about 4 more races planned for this season.
