Omnium Cargo Bike V3 - Custom Build
$2800 USDOmnium Cargo Bike V3 - Custom Build
Omnium Cargo V3 frame set and some Omnium hubs. Built with a Halo 20” front rim with a Rocket Ron 2.25. A 29" DTSwiss M520 rear rim with a Rocket Ron 2.1. These wheels are tubeless compatible but I'm running tubes in it right now to better handle heavy loads. Also from Omnium, a webbing kit, extension bar and a very stout kickstand. From there, a set of Deore brakes 180F/160R. Surly Bars with a 50mm Stem.
The Box Prime 9 11-50 pairs well with the vintage Flag cranks and wolftooth 38t oval chainring. A Thomson seat post and WTB saddle to top it off.
It’s bonkers fun to ride unloaded and so stable loaded. It feels fast and snappy, you can lift the front over curbs easily and bunny hop off things. It jumps, skids and wheelies. It’ll haul anything you want, including a passenger. I’ve ridden several cargo bikes and they all have felt slow, clunky and heavy. In comparison this cargo rides easy, quick and nimble, with or without cargo. Did I mention it goes off road?
**the Paul Stem in the photos does not come with (i've replaced it with a different one) pedals also do not come with.
