Torker Interurban 20" customized cyclocross
$200 USDI built this to allow my son to lift a bike for cyclocross racing - starting with a good 6061 frame using mini BMX wheels I shaved weight with the following mods:
* carbon bar shortened for his size
* Islabike kid's lightweight stem
* BB + crank
For quicker and wider range shifting:
* 7 speed Shimano twist shifter
* Shimano adult mid-range rear derailleur
* Mega-range cassette to provide bail out gear for steep hill climbing
* chainkeeper to prevent chain drops to the inside
Included are second road oriented tires in addition to his cyclocross set:
* 1 3/8" Kenda small block 8
* 1 1/8" Intense inverted tread
