He reminds of lewis hamilton.. Just talking about the sport and shows no passion towards it :/ NOT saying he doesnt care, just saying he doesnt show it very well Great skill though.
Connor reminds me of guys his age i used to race with that were unable to deal with the emotional challenges in their lives and used racing and training to compensate, not to say Connor is like them, just that he reminds me of them, and all of them were very talented young people too.
ha for an old company that no longer exists the iron horse sunday is a sick bike, I just finished rebuilding the suspension and Installed all new bearings bushings and pins and bolts. they ride nice all done up only thing is the linkage wears out pretty fast
don't get me wrong, I like the IH Sunday and yours is dialed...but do you think that it actually still compares to a 2011 Operator or a TR450 ???... have you ever tried those bikes ???...or are simply still riding that ''Kona hatin'' trend wagon ???
considering the massive amount of Konas that have been sold and abused over the years, some will break...Kona owners are probably the most loyal and knowledgeable riders out there...this homegrown company is part of the original big boys that are sponsoring top teams all over...I don't see australian bike manufacturers helping out our athletes, like that...even though I don't even own a Kona (wish I did), I just don't understand that free trendy hate toward them...peace out
@FastDHR, I think you overestimate the amount of improvement that a bike goes through. I reckon Sam Hill could win just the same on his old sunday as on a carbon spesh
I have no doubt that SH could still kick butt on his hay days custom made Sunday...that bike featured specs, geometry and suspension designs that have been ''borrowed'' and will still be seen for years to come on top shelf bikes...but the facts still remains that the 2011 bikes are slacker, lower and longer than ever before...those specs are directly influenced by what the top pros want and need to win races....Sam Hill's bikes are now very different to what he was using just a few years back....
In response to many comments above - Racers of any kind often sound dull and half awake in interviews - but that's cos they need to be going out of control, sideways at full speed to really switch on. Interviews given just after an actual race also usually involve the racer still having large amounts of adrenaline in their system, which makes you look and sound like a retard
Relatively simple tracks (think the Sea Otter DH) are tough because every section counts so much and everyone is going fast. The simpler the track, the closer the times are... thus mistakes can happen when you are trying to push too hard to get the extra time off.
Yea if its easy then everyone has to push it as hard as they possibly can. A three tall jump it literally nothing.... but at maxed out speed.... larger margin for error if you ask me. I may be wrong thou.
