It's so funny that Specialized "forces" him, or just wants Martin to make those video's that are all like: "My bike broke at the snow jumps, but NO, NO WAY MY NEW SPONSOR FRAME BROKE, it was chain/ fork blah blah blah." or "hey look, Specialized is cool, I can bunnyhop tailwhip, what means it's great!" You could give him a small full suspension bike for slopestyle and he would hopwhip it too. I wonder how identical would the frame they are working on be to NS Bikes Majesty.
A small group of hard working people cannot be compared with a corporation like Specialized. Our track record might be short but we are getting there. Good luck on your new team mate
specialized has kinda disappeared from the street scene. Not surprised that they are geting martins thoughts to develop a more street/ dirtjump specific bike and parts. Good for them.
WOW!!! that must have been one of the most beautiful shot videos ive seen, i wonder what camera they used? Im happy to see that people are starting to accept that he is with specialized now, its cool to see that he is starting to be a real superstar now and a part of that family. He is making more money and i acctually think he is now a big part of the evolution of freestyle mountainbiking
Because he rides for Specialized? Wow, that is what determines things for you? I personally like riders who have awesome style, are smooth, push their limits, and look like nice guys.
I remember when I used to see Martin and other guys having park and dirt sessions in skogås, Im glad to see that actually someone of these guys making it into the sport. Aint that many swedes out there that making it to this level. And its very understandable why he picked Specialized over NS, he earns way more cash from spec. But note that he still is sponsored by NS, riding with some of their accessories..
haha guys relax. tyler mccaul shot him at the end of the video. he wasn't commenting on his career choice. did you not all watch the whole thing? apparently nobody listens to andiderbiker
Are you kidding me?! Neither of you know why he went with Specialized, but I certainly couldn't blame him if it was for more money. He's out there risking life and limb and doing what he loves, more power to him if he wants to make a proper living at it. Having said that, maybe he just wanted to change things up, maybe he liked the bikes more, maybe he will have more opportunities at Specialized.. Maybe we'll see more of him now? I'm sure NS is an awesome company to ride for but don't judge him when you don't know any of the facts.
Great video! Monday is off to a good start, even if Andiderbiker doesn't understand how life works. I want to see more of Söderström on a big bike now!
cork is right, and why do these guys become pro? so they can make it their living so its pretty reasonable that hed want to make good money out of it, so hell why not go with clearly one of the industries leaders in the sport
yes alright, that's a good reason to go to specialized...
btw. the jump sesh in the end is awesome! cr4zy 360 barpsin to tailwhip
and now stop commenting my comment, it was just dumb
I heard he snapped a ton of frames from them. NS still a great company but Specialized has a way way longer track record. They made some of the first dirt jumper bikes, and some of the first mountain bikes too. That says a lot, I ride nothing but Specialized.
Any frame will snap if it's pushed hard enough. Part of the problem is riders wanting super light frames, plenty of specialized have snapped too look at the 06 sx trail or the 06 demo 8. Nothing is indestructible, anyway I'd happily ride frames from either company.
